General WWE Discussion: Roman Weeps, Taker Retires, MNK/SAM/RDM LFP

The one thing thats kinda disappointing about the whole angle is that you KNOW that Cena will come back and be the superhero that saves D-Bry when hes all healed up. Although they could be smart and have Cena turn heel and join the New Corporation (I'm calling them that now), thus setting up what could possibly be the best angle they've had in roughly 15 years.

As for the Ryback crap, theres a 99% chance someone like Big Show will eventually pop up and say "pick on someone your own size" or something and set up another bleh feud.

EDIT: Now that I think about it, they might already be setting up the Cena turn in a subtle way, since I keep hearing he acts like a dickhead on that Divas show.

Wasn't really a fan of how D-Bry was beating the crap out of the Shield by himself at one point, though. IMO if this is the start of "The Rise of Daniel Bryan", they needed to utterly decimate him on the first show. Then, slowly but surely, he would take out every member of the the corporation until he made it to Triple H (who by some chance is now champion). Kinda like climbing the arcade ladder in Mortal Kombat.

Ziggy/Show/Henry came out after the New Corp. left the ring to help out DB after Shield decided to keep attacking him.
I hope they do this DB rise thing as slow as they possibly can.

So let's get this straight. There's 4 Heels in Orton and The Shield. Then there's 4 Faces that now have beef with the shield. Bryan, Ziggler, Show, Henry. There's been huge rumors of a War Games match. I really hope they go that route. HHH has been pushing hard for it for some time.

WWE recently posted a new video on the official NXT Tout account where Paul Heyman talks about his next recruit being a “Paul Heyman girl” as opposed to a “Paul Heyman guy.” Many are speculating that Heyman is referring to current NXT Divas Champion Paige. Heyman does confirm that he has found his next star, but doesn’t mention anyone by name.

Paige finally hitting the main roster?

From everything I've read about her, Paige has been kept off the main roster 1.) Because she is 20, and the WWE has a policy of no talent under 21 on the main roster and 2.) She has had some "maturity issues", whatever that means.

Also, heads up about tonight's NXT. It's the long awaited Sami Zayn vs. Antonio Cesaro 2/3 falls match that everyone has been saying is a possible MOTY. Be sure to check it out.

Finally watched the 2k14 panel with Flair. Christ, it was funny at first but goddamn he went on and on. And then he goes on and buries DB, WWE's current hottest star with a comment. I can see why WWE is pissed at Flair and even at JR for letting it go off the rails like that.

From an entertainment perspective, that shit was hilarious.

If WWE wants to do this DB chase thing right, they need to keep him away from Orton for a while. Hell, DB can get screwed again at NoC, then have the chase continue into Survivor Series and set up a Team Orton vs Team DB. Have him face HHH at some point with RR on the line. Have him WIN the RR, and challenge for the title at WM30, and win.

A slow, gradual build of the title chase will be so much more gratifying for fans than just giving him the title too soon. I assume HHH will turn face again at some point as well, if the rumors that DX will be inducted into the HoF this year are true. It also makes little sense as to how HHH/Vince all of a sudden got on the same page, I'm assuming it's something to do with Stephanie pressuring him to do it or some shit. She seemed to have quite the pivotal spot this past Monday.

That would be the sensible way to do so. I hope he doesn't linger on HHH too long though because I'm afraid it'll derail his momentum like Punk's program with HHH did.

Only heard about the under 21 issue myself but if that is the only reason then it's no longer valid as she turned 21 this past weekend. She even posted up video of the fans at Axxess singing happy birthday to her while in the ring.
