Like i said, that was why i didnt mind, because it did give a good quality match. But i would have expected more heel interference or mind games, since thats been their MO from day one.

As far as heel teams go, the Shield actually has a LOT of hard fought clean wins. Personally I think that's actually better then having them always cheat to win since it makes them look stronger overall and feel like an actual threat. Cowardly/constantly cheating heels get annoying real fast, but heels who can actually win matches clean and only cheat occasionally are easily the best heels in the business. Orton was never as interesting as when he was a heel who could win without cheating.

Went to a WWE Live Event yesterday. It was so much more fun than a TV taping.

Real Americans defeated Tons of Funk. No Swing of Death sadly. During the ToF Entrance, Tensai gave one of the Dactyls a friendly shove to make her go off balance. They shared a good laugh. Had a good amount of comedy to start the show.

Namoi defeated Brie Bella. After the match, Nikki walked out on Brie calling her a loser. I'll assume this is something they're testing.

Justin Gabriel defeated Tyler Breeze. No clue, crowd at least hated the Breeze guy.

Miz, Ziggler and Big Show defeated The Shield by DQ after Reigns brought a Chair into the ring. Big Show said he's allowed to complete certain dates from his Contract and that Carbondale was special to him since it's home to a fellow MVC school. Big Show is nothing but fun out there. He entered the ring by doing Ziggler's Ring Entrance, even shaking his ass at the crowd. Ziggler fainted from it.

After the match, Miz and Ziggler Autographed stuff for kids around the guard rails.

Santino and Fandago had a dance off that turned into a real match. Santino won after the Cobra. Usual stuff.

Ryback defeated Kofi with the Shellshock. Match was around 15 minutes. The kid we sat by was a Ryback fan. Across the other side of the guard rail was a little girl who was also a Ryback fan. When Ryback came out, he ripped up the girl's sign. Ziggler had signed her sign earlier so the little girl was crying. They brought he a T-shirt from the back, she seemed happy after that.

Ryback came out and insulted the SIU Mascot and made fun of the fans. He then declared that he was a North Dakota State Bison. During the Match he yelled Who's Next. Did Goldberg's jump taunt. Speared Kofi then went for a Jackhammer but Kofi got out of it.

Daniel Bryan defeated Randy Orton clean with a Shining Wizard. 20 minute match, nothing special. After the match The Shield came out, Big Show came out and knocked Reigns out then gave a double chokeslam to Ambrose and Rollins. Big Show stayed around and chatted with fans signing Autographs and taking pictures. He made sure to visit as many people as he possibly could.

I took my 9 year old cousin, it was his first event. We were 7 rows away from the ring by the entrance, so he was able to reach over and get his hand slapped by almost every face. He was also the only kid trying to slap Randy Orton's hand and Orton just gave him a death stare until he put his hand away.

It's been some 17 years since I went to a House Show and I'll have to admit, I forgot how much more fun it was than the TV tapings I've attended over the years.

Much as I want it, too many variables for some kind of screw job to happen. Show, HBK, Shield, HHH, the Bella girl... on the other hand, it'd be all the more sweeter if he prevailed through those things.

Not really, when you consider how many older concepts are still around and are used. Face turns, heel turns, double turns mid-match, hot tags, ect. Screwing is only "old" or "outdated" when it stops working with monetary gains.

I didn't mean the concept is getting old. I meant that it happening to DB over and over is getting old and killing his momentum. And it has already stopped working with monetary gains. Many people demanded refunds after his second win was reversed. Even more people pissed when the last PPV match ended in no content. There's a reason WWE has been touting "There will be a WWE champion" so hard for this next PPV.

And in my opinion that champion has got to be Daniel Bryan. This is most likely the end of the feud and if he loses again and is gone from the WWE title picture for a while, he's going to lose much of his momentum. He needs to have his triumph at HIAC.

Well there's so much personal bias that goes into booking backstage that honestly, I feel myself wishing that Orton violates substance abuse again so they HAVE to fire him. I don't feel like Bryan is going to get what he deserves because this is one of those half-lie/half-truth plots where they don't think he's good enough, and Vince has been wrong so many times in the past about wrestlers that I don't want to see it again.

Exactly what I am starting to fear I am seeing here. It really sucks. It would be one thing if RoH was still as interesting to me as it once was, or PWG either for that matter. But now El Generico, Chris Hero, Tyler Black, Claudio, Ambrose (who is getting a bit of a favor being lumped in with these guys but I like him), and Bryan... well they are all here. All that amazing talent and what is there to show for it?

Bryan is insanely over, and I worry they are going to squander that.
Claudio... hot off the most amazing matches with El Generico, does a big spin, someone sees that the crowd digs it... is relegated to just doing big spins to everyone now. Awesome.
Seth and Ambrose, after getting a little buried for a while, are once again involved in the best matches of the last few months closing down last week's Raw and Smackdown.

Generico/Zayn... I want him to be ruined even less than I want to see Bryan ditched.

Oh, then there is Ziggler. WTF have they done with him? Sheesh WWE... sheesh.

As long as they let Dusty Rhodes keep running NXT everything else can burn for all I care. That show is a kind of fun that I haven't gotten from pro wrestling in a long time.
