It's really the people's fault. Should've voted for Mr. Backlund.
I'm really happy to see Cena as WHC. It's weird, him being WWE champion bothers me but I feel like he can actually do something to elevate the WHC and have some interesting feuds with it while leaving the WWE spotlight on Bryan/Orton.
Holy shit is this going to be the first time someone does the beatdown AND the cashing in? On Cena no less.
lame
WHAT IN THE FUCK?! That is so stupid. Did sandow get caught doing coke? Why would he lose that after having such an awesome start.
Was there ever any doubt?
man, JBL is off his game
first he said cena failed to cash in on RVD (was punk)
and now, 40 minutes into the show..."what a way to kick off raw"
ok, I get they keep doing this, but why is Langston not be flippin his shit right now? He just got screwed out of a title match for a 6 man tag?
There needs to be a meme about fixing every damn problem by turning the situation into a 4/6man match lol.
Who would he feud with afterwards? Del Rio, who is stale? The Miz?
Think about it, and I don't like it as much as you -on paper-, but this is the right way to go. That belt meant ass until Cena held it. Now its elevated, because Cena is a top guy. He's going to hold it until they can work a good enough storyline around it to make the belt matter again, and then he'll drop it. This won't be some year-long reign, but if Cena got it and lost it, the belt would go right back to midcard status.
This is one time - possibly the ONLY time - that I completely understand what they're doing with the belt.
I still don't understand why they moved away from giving Ziggler a title push... even if he did have a legit injury, there was no reason to have him drop it and then go back to doing random crap for no reason. Hell, he wasn't even on RAW tonight.
As for the failed cash in... I'm actually glad. I'm also one of those happy to see Cena doing something with the WHC belt, since it finally makes it seem worthy of something and not just complete midcard bullshit. The match with Sandow was fantastic, but Sandow isn't ready for a title run. I don't understand, per se, why have him cash in so early either, and I hope that they don't bury the crap out of him now like they did Ziggler (this makes the 2nd WHC MITB winner that gets the short end of the stick in one way or another), but regardless, Cena being the WHC and appearing on SD will only do good both for the title as well as the product on Friday nights.
On a side note, is anyone else bothered by the fact that every time "the entire roster" is out on the stage, Cena and Punk are the only ones missing on a consistent basis? I realize they're "above" that, but I dunno.. always found that strange when the WHC would be standing there but those two are never seen.
I'm pretty sure todays reason would be medical treatment for both?
I know what you're saying about the prestige of the belt. Like I posted earlier, I was happy that Cena has it. But I still feel it's a waste of Sandow's MITB to have him lose it. The belt will certainly do better, but I'm afraid for Sandow. Heres hoping he continues his mean streak from yesterday and continues to get a push without the MITB or the belt.
The last thing I read about Ziggler was that they only had him cash in the night after Wrestlemania because they knew they'd get a huge reaction from the crowd. The plan was always to use Ziggler for the double turn on ADR even before Ziggler got hurt, the injury just happened to help the storyline. So yeah, they had no long term plans for him at all, much like Sandow, it would appear.
I've been watching this guy stream the 30 Years of WrestleMania mode in WWE '14 http://www.twitch.tv/piledrivingcritique
It is a little disorienting to hear Jim Ross and Jerry Lawler dubbing over the commentary for the early WM matches. I mean, I understand why they can't have Gorilla Monsoon, Bobby Heenan, and Jesse Ventura but hearing JR and King call Steamboat/Flair, Andre/Hogan, and Hogan/Savage was just WEIRD.
Jake "The Snake Roberts interested in buying TNA(as it's up for sale). Asking for financial help from fans on site Indiegogo to make the deal.
