Think the only thing that could really salvage this is Orton winning the unified belt, DB winning rumble, then beating him at WM. Yet I'm also considering a Cena scenario where some heel steps up. Just can't decide who.

I wish people would realize every WWE PPV ends before 11. They rarely ever take up the full allotted time.
And I would love for that to happen Arus. That would bring Daniel Bryan's title hunt full circle. Hopefully Survivor Series will have a terrible buyrate WWE will pull its head out of its ass and realize it wasn't DB's fault lol.
Was probably HHH and Steph saying, "we gotta end this garbage match" and then they came out.
Oh good title unification at TLC. Hopefully Orton wins it then DB takes it from him at WM.
....is there a way for them both to lose so Punk and Bryan can do it instead? Neither Cena nor Orton "need" to be unified champions and I personally want Orton as far away from the belt as possible.
Eh they cna go on to challenge them for it. I don't see an issue.
It's just one of those "Record book notes" for me, like how Jericho was the first "Undisputed" champion. It's an extra special little mark on their lists of accomplishments is all and I don't think either Cena or Orton need that.
I remember a few years ago someone did a stat that there was like over 20 (could be more I forget the exact number) ppvs where either Cena or Orton were in a title match. Now they're both in the same title match with both belts. Talk about staleness.
And to top it off it's not even a unification match.
Wouldn't be the least bit surprised to see this simply result in a title swap with both guys getting to the top of the ladder fighting over the belts and Cena comes away with the WWE title and Orton the WHC.
Yeah, I watched RAW this morning. Was a bit ambiguous on unification or not, and even them suspending both titles over the ring could mean someone could get one or both.
This isnt UFC where people can get KOed in the first round of every match. And even then, there is still a contingency plan for when this happens to atleast fill out the PPV time. WWE is a fixed event, we all know this, the card should be filled out for approx 3 hours, not approx 2 hours and 30 min.
Opening segment and introductions and pyro: 8:00-8:05 (5 min)
Traditional SS Match introductions: 8:05-8:10 (5 min)
Traditional Match: 8:10-8:35 (25 min)
Between matches: 8:35-8:40 (5 min)
Langston vs Axel: 8:40-8:50 (10 min)
Between matches: 8:50-8:55 (5 min)
Divas Match: 8:55-9:10 (15 min, 7 members per team, give them SOME ring time each)
Between matches: 9:10-9:15 (5 min)
Ryback promo and squash by Mark Henry: 9:15-9:25
Between Matches: 9:25-9:30 (5 min)
Cena vs ADR: 9:30-9:55 (25 min)
Between Matches: 9:55-10:00 (5 min)
Wyatts vs Punk/Bryan: 10:00-10:30 (30 min)
Between Matches: 10:30-10:35 (5 min)
Orton vs BigSlow: 10:35-10:55 (20 min)
The times above could also include ring introductions and what not, because 20 min of Orton vs BigSlow = zzzz. But its still what was expected to be the Main Event, and this isnt UFC where someone can get KOed in 30 seconds. If Vince cant expect his main event to eat up 20 minutes, MAYBE HIS BUY RATES ARE DOWN BECAUSE HIS MAIN EVENTERS CANT HOLD A FUCKING MATCH, but thats something else. You may have noticed I also allotted scheduling till 10:55, incase there is overrun, and no ones going to go "Its only 10:55 SOMETHINGS GONNA HAPPEN". But as a production team, when your schedule falls behind by 20 minutes, and NOTHING happened that should have caused it to fall behind that badly, it speaks wonders as to what the fuck is going on and how come no one bothered to TRY and fix it. How about eating 2-3 minutes with bullshit? How about having someone interview Mark Henry backstage, "hey mark hows it feel to be back in the ring"? Bullshit like that, but SOMETHING to not have the PPV end 20 minutes early? It looks incredibly bad.
It seems to me that they are trying to fill a good amount of that time with sales now too. I don't remember so much WWE Shop shilling. I mean I know it was there, but the Superstars behind a table of WWE garbage is new. Actually, hell... before it was Mick Foley selling bobbleheads it was the Brawling Buddies commercials, or Miz busting up a birthday party or Shampoose at KMart. Ok, nevermind. They always have the ads. I don't remember them so much on PPVs though? Maybe that's it.
Go watch a PPV from the early 90's and talk to me about terrible commercials. lol

There's that one, which includes Batista and HHH.
