I feel like they have a good thing going with USA/NBC. Can't think of many shows that get to regularly run over the scheduled time without really any consequence. But I also don't think it'll be a good thing if Raw and SD turn sub-only. Rewatchable, sure, but not sub-based.

DirecTV is already in discussions about dropping WWE PPVs from their line-up in response to this, and WWE's television deals with USA are expiring very soon. This is turning out to be a huge gamble for WWE not unlike the first WrestleMania. If this works, they are gonna make money hand over fist. If not...well I don't see them tanking to TNA levels but there is gonna be significant, long lasting damage.

It's a dumb pissing match on Direct's part. They get over half of the proceeds per sale and basically they would be turning down damn near free money.

Likely won't happen. They need an easily accessible platform to drive up subscriptions and why turn down a way for them to advertise their network and get paid for it?

I missed it, but either Ryback got drunk or his twitter got hacked last night. Went on a huge tirade, thanking fans for making him rich, admitting to sandbagging someone on a shellshocked, making fun of Dolph's concussion, then deleted it all. Today he's posted that he's done wrestling, asking to get to 1 million followers and having them declare him our king, etc.

Doesnt do him any good deleting it from his twitter account still shows up on wwe.com for some reason under his superstar profile. Im pretty sure he was trying to troll but i think this will backfire on him wouldnt be surprised to see him fired or jobbed out even more.

My biggest problem with Curtis Axel is how he has been booked in short matches to steal wins. As Hammer said, the guy is going to need some time to live up to expectations. I think he has all the talent in the world, but it is going to be very very tough to live up to expectations that his father set. Look at The Rock. Rocky Johnson is Hall of Fame-worthy, don't get me wrong, but he did not have near the charisma as his son; not many have. The same is true for Curt and Larry "The Axe" Hennig and Randy and Bob Orton, Jr. Many would argue the reverse happened with Ted DiBiase, Jr. and his father. Even if you look at Bray Wyatt and Mike Rotunda. Mike did not have a ton of charisma, but he was a solid in-ring worker. His son seems to have/be both. Then again, a lot of people didn't think Husky Harris was very good when he debuted so he was sent back to developmental and look at him now. Only time will tell with Axel. I think once he gets a few matches under his belt that last more than 5 mins we'll see something special. It may not be Mr. Perfect special, but special none the less.

Not sure how long it will last before the WWE legal team takes it down, but someone out there has created a Youtube channel full of dark matches from the late 90s to what looks like 2003ish. Most of it is low quality stuff ripped directly from VCRs, but very interesting matches. Like this one, Mr. Perfect vs. Brock Lesnar!

I don't think Kane did anything to help DB. DB just took advantage of the situation. WWE doesn't utilize past friendships between heels and faces.
