RAW was alright. Pissed that Brodus basically got squashed by Show for his first loss. Guess since his leg is "hurt" they'll play off that, and have Brodus beat him after Money in the Bank, or something. First big feud for the guy and he's just fodder to make Show look scary.

I just want Mark Henry to come back and bitch Show. Show keeps talking about being so large that I want Henry to come in, knock him out, and respond about the fact that while he is the largest, he isn't "the strongest".

You know what? I marked for Ryder winning that rumble. He got revenge on Eve AND Kane in one night, and also built his "feud" with Damien Sandow. He's back on TV, you know it bro!
I'm hoping next week's friday night Zackdown will be great.

Not gonna lie, I was kind of pulling for Kane there. Might've made for an amusing Smackdown with him in charge. He's been doing some subtle comedy stuff recently.

Kane's always had that camp to him. Just a matter of how much mic time he's actually given and how much they're dialing up his "monster" angle.

Man I was pulling for Kane so hard for GM, but I'm just glad Big Show didn't win it. It was great seeing him get choke-slammed, because my brother and I called Show to win the whole thing in usual kayfabe monster heel fashion.

omg i missed that part of the show. That is so awesome! I like this Kane more than the "I will kill you all" Kane. I was thrilled it was Ryder that won the rumble too, although I was pulling for Kane.

Side note, I skimmed through that new hardcore video that just came out. I missed majority of the Attitude Era so seeing Vince pumped up and Shane fight like that was pretty cool to me.

Pretty badass, but proves (if anyone was stupid enough to believe otherwise) that they script and practice the hell out of the matches beforehand.

As for the RAW itself, I've never liked marriage storylines. They've always been campy and terrible, and it makes me squirm for the "actors" that have to perform "onstage" while doing them. That said, AJ has incredible mic skills and sold it pretty well. I can imagine how popular she is amongst the high school crowd, just like how Trish Stratus and Steph were for my generation. I can't wait for RAW to move on from this arc, though, before we get some stupid in-house wedding storyline like with Kane and Steph and Edge and so many others... they never turn out well.

Yea that was very dissapointing, had SO much potential for a good story line.

Overall Raw was pretty amusing I thought, I'm definitely more intrigued now that Crazy AJ is around more often.

I was kinda sad about the lack of response to Bob Backlund when he came out.

Well you have to remember that Bob was around in the late 70's and that most of these fans are fucking kids and teens. There were some good chants of "you've still got it", but these kids are two and three generations ahead. I will say that they missed out on Bob being batshit crazy in the 90's. I remember one time where he had a dude in the chickenwing and he tapped out, so the match was over and they cut to commercial, and when they came back, Backlund was STILL in the chickenwing and the refs were still trying to pry them off. A bunch of superstars had to come out and pry him off before he let go and flipped back into "normal" Bob and was all apologetic.

He was great.

spent more time watching the home run derby last night i think than raw. more pointless tag matches and singles matches that are uninteresting. while i like santino on the mic, his title reign has lasted too long. need a heel ish U.S. champ
