Not like the titles outside of the WHC and WWE championship belt matter and even now, its debatable if those mean anything when Cena isnt holding one of those titles
These story lines suck.
They need to get some stables going or something. It used to be awesome when there would be what seemed like legit feuds, tag matches that mattered, etc. This thing of having awkward tag teams that go for a week and have nothing at stake just isn't working. When they highlighted cena/kane vs. show/jericho I turned the channel. Totally uninteresting.
To be honest, it's unclear what the significance of the IC or US belt even is? At least with the hardcore and cruiser title, it was clear why people held those.
The sad thing is, when Cody had the IC Belt, it actually felt like it meant something. As much as Big Show bores me, I was really into his feud with Cody, and I loved how they got it back on Cody and should have built it up to another big reign, but instead they hot shotted it to Christian, and haven't done shit with it since. And god I miss the 24/7 rule with the Hardcore title with Crash Holly. He was one of the most underrated guys in the attitude era and actually made a shitty belt worth something.
As for AJ, as much as I hate wedding angles as well, I really hope they continue with her slow decent into madness. The fact that she is probably one of the most over wrestlers in the WWE and she started as a way to tone down the YES chants shows that she has the IT factor. I'd love to see her form a stable along the lines of just seducing a bunch of men to do her dirty work for her and just watch her flip the fuck out if they screw up, only to give them a kiss and say all is forgiven. I could see that being fun. But then again any excuse to have AJ on my screen is fine by me.
Understandably the AJ/Punk/Bryan romance thing is shit.
This is just CM Punk proving to himself and everyone else that really good wrestlers can be "entertaining" (excluding AJ), to the point that because of this "epic love story" Punk and Bryan are now back in the PPV main event slot (I think).
Anyone been keeping up with TNA? A. double is on fire.
note: posted in shitty MV form so its short and can't be removed too quickly from yt.
I can only wonder who would win in a war of crazy. AJ or Ultimate Warrior. It seems AJ knows when to turn it of though.
I try watching TNA occasionally, but some of it is really bad. I did catch that promo of Austin Aries where he's talking about getting the title. I thought it was a good piece. My wife checked out smackdowns facebook page last week after the Ryback match and people were just flaming the hell out of it basically saying either put him in some decent matches or don't bring him on period.
Kinda over Brodus being all happy go lucky and dancing. It would be cool if he started having a bit of a mean streak. I did like Tyson Kidd sort of getting over too. Was happy for that win.
Still feel like Brodus' schtick is a lame PG throwback to the Godfather/Ho-Train thing from back when. But in general, he's been uninteresting similar to how people spoke of Ryback above, only really getting a "big" match with Show where they played off him being injured on top.
Anyway, kinda burnt out on the AJ plot. I'm guessing Bryan will win Sunday and they'll try to spin it as some clever plot to get him a belt back after being screwed at WM. It'll further his heel gimmick while making her "crazy" act look more of the calculated vibe I've been getting in some of its predictability. Punk may even get taken out for a bit since AJ could hold on DQ calls as the ref.
Leaning toward Cena for the MitB if the above does happen. Otherwise, it's probably gonna be Show since I'd rather not see Punk/Jericho again.
Anyone wanna PM me their usual spots for viewing the PPVs online? Need something to kill the 2 hour wait til Breaking Bad!

Didn't make it in time Nynja, they were showing some bullshit when I got there. The CM Punk / Bryan match was decent. I just had a hard time getting into it, and all the 2 count pins, knowing that shit wasn't going to happen before AJ came back to the ring. Broke that whole part for me. Otherwise, it was ok.
I hope Cena is the first person to lose MITB cash in. I'm guessing hes gonna do it RVD style and preplan a match with Punk at Summerslam. Hopefully he'll lose.
Sorry, Charlie.![]()
I'd rather it have been Kane. Oh well. Dolph winning? At least it wasn't Santino!!!
Dolph was the best choice in that match. He's been waiting to breakout for so long. Had to be him or Rhodes. And as much as I'd love to see Kane reign again, I don't think it'll happen. He got his token loyalty championship reign the last time he won MITB. That match it pretty much had to be Cena. I just hope he loses his cash in.
Was hoping for Dolph or a crazy push for the underdog that nobody really knows about. Albert doesn't have the mic skills to really make a true "audible" monster heel push, Christian already has a belt and he's won enough already, and Dolph has been a light's out wrestler for the last year. He earned that win. It was a great match that looked very painful; I'm sure the kids had a great time watching it. Woulda been pretty cool seeing Sandow win the belt, though. "You're welcome."
I was pissed about the outcome to the Punk/Yes fight. I'm sick of Punk having the belt (and Shaemus) because it reminds me of the old NWO days where, for whatever stupid reason, the company was too scared to move the belt around. Shit's getting old with punk having the belt, as cool of a guy as he is. He doesn't need the belt to continue his modern-day Jericho schpeal of insulting people and backing it up in the ring. Let someone else get a push and hold the belt for a bit, or just have it change hands.
I actually have to give props to Primo during his tag match. Dude pulled out some agile moves I had no idea he could do, and there were no botches. Good job.
As for the main event, it was pretty cool. Cena probably needed to win it to make up for having to take a dive to the Rock (probably a contract clause or something that says the Rock can't lose while he's doing PPVs) and those guys sold some of those ladder hits and top-of-the-ladder tumbles very, VERY well. I actually cringed when I saw Show punch the Miz and watched him fall into the ladder that popped him in the face, and the way Jericho just kinda... well... plummited off of the ladder when show punched him (the dives were 10 times better than the punches) was pretty thrilling. Those guys have to be sore today.
Was a nice touch having Cena win the match in a unique way; I've never seen someone literally beat an opponent with the case so much that the goddamn handles popped off.
I dont think that the handle popping off was planned. Cena was gonna beat show with the case a bit more then unhook it, but the cheap shit broke lol.
I think the best kind of result is a safe result, of course, but one that didn't exactly 100% follow the script!
I don't think the handle breaking was intentional, either. Though, would've been amusing if they meant for Show to win and that happened.
Guessing Cena will wanna cash in on 1000 since they said he had an announcement to make earlier.
