Pretty entertaining show. Surprised AJ said yes. Was psyched for Ryback to have a somewhat real match, although it didn't happen. Titus Oneal seems like he is holding back a lot of the time. Was he a football player? Looks like he'd be a sick Linebacker. Cena vs. Punk @1k. I get it why Cena wants to do it that way, but I wish he would just get the title.

Titus played college football I think for either Florida or Florida State but could be wrong there I just know he played. And he's really just not that good in the ring so they keep him in tag matches to try and hide that a bit hoping that he improves.

I don't think so. I think Cena is far more likely to lose it and be the first person with a failed cash in.

I really hope not. I mean, I'm not a fan of Cena but I just think that would be terrible. I love Punk on the mic, I think he's a decent wrestler, but I just cannot buy into him being the best.

On a side note, is the Attitude Adjustment, aka FU, really just a Fireman's Carry? I always wondered that and whenever I see that move I just roll my eyes.

Punk has had it long enough. It becomes incredibly stale when the outcome is predictable and consistent. Punk retains belt. Shaemus retains belt. Whatever happened to wrestlers dropping the belts to help boost their fellow wrestlers up? This shit seems so selfish to hold the belt for basically a year.

Its like Punk has an immunity clause because of the pipe bomb, and Shaemus has immunity because he's a workout buddy of Triple H. I thought this petty shit went by the wayside, but I guess its all about who you know and whose ass you kiss, just like Punk ironically said during the pipebomb.

How is it selfish? Not like the wrestlers decide when they get or lose belts. It comes from the administration. From what I read, HHH decreed that they do longer title reigns, which is why you're seeing this right now.

Also kind of silly, belts get dropped a lot and people complain about short title reigns. Champions keep the belt for a while and people complain about stale, long reigns.

I like Cena, but I feel like hes one of the only people who can afford to lose a MITB cash in and I want to see that happen. Plus, he can go on and have a rematch at Summerslam and win there.

I'd like to hear someone from BG (AKA. Someone with some sense between their ears) complain about a "short" title reign. Mark Henry's reign was of a good length; Daniel Bryan's was of a good length, up until he jobbed to Shaemus, but it was for a good reason - a A+ card feud for the big belt. Punk's had it for eons, though, and it just reminds me of the days of NWO and DX when the top-ranked guy could just waltz over everyone else and had "creative control" and just soaked up the spotlight.

It leaves a bad taste of my mouth by reminding me of those shitty corruption days.

I really don't think Punk has it because he has creative control though. I think it comes from the administration. They considered him dropping the belt to Bryan in each of their fights but they decided to keep it on him for a long reign.

WWE champ - Punk - too long. not believable he's "the best in the world" (in my opinion)
WHC - Shaemus - just right. it's believable he can beat his competition and he's a pretty likable character
IC champ - Christian - Feud w/Cody wasn't long enough or hasn't developed nicely. He's an ok champ. IC needs more excitement around it
US champ - Santino - complete joke. not believable at all.
Tag Champs - Kofi/R-Truth/Jimmy! - I like seeing them do their thing. R-Truth is better than Evan Bourne imho. they are developing decent tag partners.
women's - layla? - don't care/no interest.

I still think they need more stables, more managers, etc. Vicky is the only one who represents anyone on the mic really. I suppose AW is starting to. Ricardo Rodriguez is the only one who attempts to help his guy. Maybe Tensai's guy too, but I can't remember his name. There just doesn't seem to be a ton of excitement revolving around the nightly show other than what's generated around a couple of people. I'd love it too if they cut more promos than doing 5 recaps of the same thing from last episode.

HHH has been the one that is pushing for longer title reigns concerning the top two belts recently.

And I also think Cena loses tonight. I see almost no way that he leaves as champion tonight especially when factoring in the Big Show.

Oh I can easily. Christian's 5 day reign was bullshit. I remember watching Raw and they were hyping that Bret Hart was the first 3 time champ. Now i'm not saying we need Bob Backlund 5 year reign runs, but when you got Flair's record of I believe 16 title reigns over his career in jeopardy over say Edge who had 10 I believe after switching to a singles wrestler, Cena with 11, HHH I think had 12, etc, the constant hot shotting it from one person to the next cheapens the belt.

As for elevating talent, you can be elevated by losing. Go look at Edge/Angle in their first match. Angle won, but that match made Edge a star. He got more out of that match as a loser then he would have if he won. It's all in how the story and psychology in the ring works. It's why it pisses me off that Jake the Snake is constantly drunk/high. He could teach the current roster so much about telling a story in the ring, it would be nuts. It's a talent that's lost on the majority of the wrestlers. When you watch a match like Punk/Bryan yes you know there are going to be several near falls, but you also know a pin or submission can come out of nowhere.
