At least Triple H still takes his job seriously and will go out of his way to put others over. Hogan is far above that. And Triple H remains entertaining to watch.

The promo Orton shot about Batista, is one of the few times, they wrote a promo that was actually the truth. No one gives a shit about Batista, well, I did back then, but I don't know what's up with this "new" Batista.

I guess, but I'll remind you that he went over Brock at 'Mania then only lost the set because of multiple interferences by Heyman and use of the sledgehammer. Sure, he lost, but he made it look like Brock could only do it by cheating. One could argue that's not putting someone over, that's saving face.

Brock is kind of a funky choice to pick. Since he's returned he lost to Super Cena, lost to HHH in a retirement match (we knew trips wasn't going to full time retire and he was kayfabe getting his ass handed to him leading up to that match), squashed an injured big show, and beat Punk in a no dq match which I believe Heyman also ran interference on, and he's going to lose at Wrestlemania this year barring Taker dying during the match.

I forgot him also putting down Kevin Nash. It just feels like whenever HHH gives any credit to someone, he makes sure he looks as good as possible walking away from it. Hogan always had an excuse, too, and I can't shake the memory of Taker and HBK carrying Trips out to make him look like a hero.

I fully disclose I don't much care for HHH so feel free to disregard me as one of the butthurt internet people. He just gets under my skin, and not in the good-heel way, it's the "God dammit HHH you have to know how shitty it looks when you're important backstage and book yourself into prominence on TV/PPVs." On that regard, it's clever use of "smark" community stuff to play up the image he knows everyone hates about him, but it's been seriously grating (on me, anyway) since Summerslam.

Edit: I misread the shit out of your post. Brock's certainly been presented strangely since his return, I'll give you that. It confused me after him "beating down" Big Show to show how unhinged he was, they had Show walk out refusing medical treatment. That was supposed to show... what, exactly? How tough Show was, I guess? It didn't make Brock look effective, that's for sure.

Not long after he redebuted as Tensai, and he still had that Japanese guy Sakomoto with him, he posted a Tout (lol) of him and Sakomoto heading to their next show. Sakomoto was driving, Tensai was complaining about how awful a driver he was, made some stereotypical horrible asian driver jokes (nothing TOO bad) and smacked him around a couple times. This probably wouldn't have even been a big deal, but it happened not too long after WWE fired AW for making the Kobe Bryant/rape joke, so TMZ and shit jumped on it and it made WWE look bad. So...I don't think they want to trust him with a live mic just yet.

Nah you got every right to be butthurt. I wont ignore that Triple H has a track record for fucking people over. I mean the only reason he pulled himself out of title runs is because his reigns were getting really stale and RAW became all about him and fans were getting really really tired of it. If not on the same level as they are with Cena. And Triple H has never been a 'true' face. More like, as you would say, a face when it's convenient. But this late in his career, despite making him look good, it still managers to put his victors over. C'mon a DB victory over Triple H will be huge.

As for Kevin Nash..

Kevin Nash unfortunately is one of those guys, (like Rey Mysterio) who is great in the ring, until he gets injured. I don't know how Triple H was putting him down, because I only started recently following WWE again, but I know Nash from WCW and later TNA.

I can't pretend to know how WWE writes their bookings, but I truly believe they had no plan on letting DB go over HHH until recently. Until Punk walked, rumor was it was supposed to be Punk/HHH at Mania with DB being pushed off to a feud with a (presumably heel-turning) Sheamus, because that feud was so great last time. I think they fully intended to let Bootista take the strap as a mega super Hollywood face and tour the summer promoting his movie. It wasn't until extremely recently they revisited DB in a main-event role.

As for the Nash thing: WWE Summer of Punk ended with Nash Jackknifing Punk, which almost turned into a feud, but then turned into the HHH/Punk match where HHH went over Punk (can't remember if it was clean or not) which somehow turned into HHH and Nash feuding. It was a god-awful series of events (TRIPLE H SENT THE TEXT! WAIT NO, NASH SENT HIMSELF THE TEXT! TRIPLE H GOT ASSAULTED WITH A PIPE! DOES HE HAVE A PULSE?! MOMENTS AGO THIS HAPPENED!) which ended in Nash being retired at TLC in... 2011?

The HHH injury angle was offensive. It got four or five "Moments ago/Monday on RAW/Last week on RAW/" per night for weeks (or so my biased memory says) and I guess was intended to make HHH look like a badass for returning from it, but his opponent was an old, out of shape Kevin Nash. The match ended with Nash completely fucking up a Pedigree in a great gif that sums up the whole thing.

Rumors reported it was supposed to be Punk/Nash but backstage couldn't agree on whether or not 1) it would draw or 2) Nash could keep up with Punk. That's allegedly why it went to HHH and a TLC match.

I thought about getting tickets to that but it's a work night so I'll end up skipping out. Last RAW I went to was the New Year's Eve pretape a year ago; I recommend taking the Metro in. It's incredible how much easier it is than driving.
