He did beat up the Uso's a few times though before challenging them to the steel cage match with him & Bray so he could get Bray alone in said cage to beat his ass before he went back to the Yes Man he is today. Still, sadly seems like this is a legit break up of the Shield. Almost wanna scalp the tickets I have for the show on the 16th . . . . .

I loved the Rollins swerve! The turn was kinda a Hollywood Hogan moment for smarks, I mean he was the one guy out of The Shield I thought would never go heel. Ambrose was always the scumbag of the crew and if they were gonna swerve I thought they'd go with Reigns as he is an obvious main eventer but Rollins? I've gotta admit that's genius, afterall he was the guy I was kinda worried about the most solo-wise. He's a great worker and all but doesn't have the charisma of his former stable buddies. Now he's heel no.1 and The Shield get to go out at the top of their versus being milked for all their worth over a series of repetitive PPVs.

In your logic, Evolution makes no sense then after what those three did to torment each other over the years. Did you already forget how HHH was cuffed to the ropes while Orton RKO'd his wife and kissed her infront of Hunter's face? And how Hunter came to Orton's house and beat him up with a sledgehammer? Yet now they're buddy-buddy.
Wrestling logic is that there is no logic in these things. Like others mentioned, the decision for him to walk out and the decision to turn him heel were two very different things.

He walked out during the angle where Ambrose and Reigns were not getting along, during the first time they were pushing towards a Shield breakup... but that was scrapped pretty quickly and those two stopped arguing. Now when the breakup talks came up again, it seems like they took it in a different direction now, maybe due to Reigns' increased popularity and their desire to turn him into a face main event star from now on.

Rollins just came off of the biggest series of victories in his career so far, being a part of the team that dismantled Evolution, the faction that creative is going to push as the toughest team 5ever (just like Trips ruling the attitude era). He took some huge spots to put them down, and after cementing Shield as an unstoppable force, he quits for the losing team.

I thought of two reasons this might be. One is the obvious "Trips bought him out" angle thing. The other is that Shield took out Evolution, then Rollins took out the Shield. That would technically put him at the top of the chain, so to speak. Rollings > Shield > Evolution. Still doesn't explain why he JOINED the guys he beat, though. I would be more comfortable with the angle if Rollins just up and said "We've done everything, I don't need you anymore, you two are dead weight."

That said, I'm 99% sure that the reason

is because they don't know what to write in just yet.

Finally got a chance to watch the NXT Takeover event that aired last week. Honestly I think those 2hrs smoked Payback as far as performances go. Actually seeing a divas match with actual wrestling was awesome. Neville and Kidd had a great match, and Sami vs Breeze stole the show.

That said, I don't get the hype for The Ascension, though it looks like they are going to join the main roster soon based on some tweets to the Shield after payback.

He is a title contender because The Shield vs Evolution is still going strong, CM Punk is MIA, and the WWE has pretty much put everyone else in the Tag Team realm or US/Intercontinental title realm, without pushing anyone else to give Daniel Bryan some reasonable time off to heal.

- At least two casting agencies sent out notices this weekend for a WWE project that takes place next Monday, June 16th. It did not list a location but next week’s RAW takes place from Cleveland and we know at least one of the agencies is based in California.

The name of the project is “WWE Orchestra” and WWE is looking for 14 total males and females of any ethnicity to appear in an orchestra. They will be wearing Sting face-paint and not actually playing their instruments as music will be dubbed in, according to the notice. The pay for the gig is $650 plus an agency fee.

The listing for the orchestra stand-ins reads like this:

“Orchestra musicians with own instruments Principal Male or Female / 18 to 70 / All Ethnicities Looking for an orchestra of 14 musicians, all with own instruments – ideally a full orchestra who play together regularly. They will be “fake” playing in the promo, music will be dubbed in. All will be wearing the face paint that Sting is known for. Must be OK with heavy face makeup. Any leads on full orchestras who would love to make some money, would be awesome!! Open to all ages (over 18) and for the most part, people will be unrecognizable.”

The listing for the Sting body double reads like this:

“Body double for STING Photo Double Male / 38 to 50 / Caucasian, Ethnically Ambiguous, Hispanic, Mixed, Multi-Ethnic 6’2, 250lb of pure muscle. Prefer a guy with wrestling experience, very fit. And also rumored today Daniel Bryan will not be cleared to compete at MitB so ladder match for the title coming up along with the possibility of adding a second ladder match to the show for the briefcase. My guess Lesnar shows up and takes the title while Cesaro goes on to win the briefcase.

Yeah apparently he still hasn't signed and I believe this casting call is for a DVD. WWE was mad this leaked out because they still haven't signed him. Too bad though. But a plethora of Stings reminds me of this edition of Nitro from just before Halloween Havoc 1997:



Also. It looks like Kevin Steen has finally signed with WWE. Oh the chance of seeing Sami Zayn against Steen again gives me goosebumps.
