CM Punk return confirmed.
So Emma was back on Main Event tonight, heard she stole the show.
Eh, I see it as somewhat smoothing over his exit. You got fans wanting closure, Heyman trolling in Chicago, and of course chants for Punk during AJ's return. Unless he's changed his mind on his whole "When I quit, I'm done!" thing, I don't have my hopes up. There's still that part of me that hopes it was a FU to Vince and the writers, though, due to shit like Batista's RR win, or Rock prior, and eventually Lesnar's terrible ending of the streak. Guess we'll see.
JR wants to team up with CM Punk to be NJPW English commentary team and bring the PPV's stateside.
"I'm not saying I'll never do wrestling again. I did my podcast this week and said you know, crazy idea what if CM Punk and I joined forces and made a broadcast team and did an internet pay-per-view for a New Japan show. Something completely off the tracks. An not do it in a studio but go to Tokyo or go wherever the event was held. Be there as the English speaking crew. We might be the version of the Spanish announce table. And I just threw that out there and know I've got all kinds of people "oh, when are you and CM Punk. when did you talk to Phil". Well, I haven't talked to Phil. I made it clear on the podcast this is fantasy booking. I said this will get people talking. Well, here's a good one for you. This will get people talking. Watch how this works. And then I laid it out: New Japan is doing these pay-per-views and they want to air them in the States. They're inexpensive and all this good stuff. CM Punk is going to be available to do some stuff one of these days. And I'd love to work with him as the analyst of a pro wrestling match or a MMA fight."
TNA going through another rebranding schtick again. Went back to the six-sided ring. Hopefully they can get their shit together.
The next few episodes were taped in NY, which is likely gonna bring a hot crowd.
I think the 6 sided ring is just for the NYC tapings and shouldn't be back full time. Bringing it back once in a while would be good though.
Wow, Lashley still looks jacked as fuck lol. You'd think this man would cut down the muscle mass so he doesn't always gas in two minutes.
He's smaller then he was in WWE, though not by much and he made up for it with definition
Is AJ coming off, I don't know, kinda stoic in all her promos since her return to anyone else?
I assume they might be reigning back the crazy bitch angle, so that might be why. Granted, I don't watch the not-Raw shows.
Went to live event tonight, was awesome fun. Rather than give you the normal live event round up I thought I'd share this funny story. After the show was over me and a couple of my friends were walking out near the back of the arena, specifically the parking lot where most of the wrestlers would be leaving from. A white camaro pulls up with the windows down and it's Roman Reigns behind the wheel. One of my friends stupidly yells out "UUUUUUUUUUUUUUUUSSSSS!!!!" thinking its the Usos. Roman just kinda stared at him blankly and then yelled back "OOOOOOOOOOOOO!!!!" and smiling before driving off.
Lmao that's awesome!!! I think they're cousins anyways.
If a Samoan (or WWE always pretending Yokozuna was Japanese) has wrestled in WWE chances are they're in the Anoa'i family.
Yeah Roman's father is Sika one half of the Wild Samoans with Afa. His brother is the former Rosey from 3 Minute Warning and Hurricane's sidekick. Believe the former Camacho is also related as he's the son of Haku. Don't remember if there was any actual family relation between them however or if they were just close to the family.
Also Rikishi, Umaga, Samu, Manu, and even technically Naomi since she married Jimmy Uso
Does anyone here have WWE network? Looks like a solid value, just for the PPVs alone.
Think most of the regular posters in this thread have it. I completely zone out of wrestling when NFL season hits but I'll likely keep my subscription going because yeah, 10 bucks a month for the PPVs is nice.
Fun to randomly catch up on shit you missed when you weren't following it either, just watched Summerslam 2005 for the first time today, god Shawn Michaels overselling Hogan is glorious
