Hopefully he returns in the future one more time and actually gets a title push before he quits for good. Dolph on the other hand deserves to get a strong push, and I hope they take that world title off of Sheamus soon, because it's obvious that Ziggler won't be able to successfully cash it in on Cena's Superman double (seriously, when is the last time Sheamus lost a match?)
From what someone said earlier about a tour, the outcome was obviously even if painful to see. I'm not a fan of how this played out, but I think that's going to be the push he needs to show he's title worthy (The entire reason Jericho returned). If that's not enough to rip the title off Shaemus, then they've absolutely wasted Jericho's promotion effort. There's really not much more they could do to hype a new title owner considering he can cash in whenever.

Well I didn't know about Jericho's tour, that makes that match much more predictable but since I didn't know it, I was actually waiting for that match throughout the show so it gave me a reason to keep watching (even through that god-awful divas' battle royal... seriously it was one of the most painful things I have ever sat through.)

As for Ziggler/Sheamus, Orton is obviously going to be gunning for the title soon, and with Del Rio and Sheamus not having solved their problems yet, I don't see when would be a good time to introduce Ziggler into the mix. The main issue is that Ziggler already attempted, multiple times, to cash the briefcase on Sheamus, and every time Super-Sheamus was ready for him and Brogue kicked him in the face. Since they did this already, on multiple counts, it makes Ziggler look very weak next to Sheamus, and at this point if Ziggler ran out after a title match and hit the Zig-Zag on Sheamus, I wouldn't be surprised if "The Great White" (dumbest nickname ever) would just kick out and beat Ziggler anyways.
A much more credible path to go is to have Del Rio take the title off Sheamus at Night of Champions, successfully retain during Sheamus' rematch after that, and then introduce Orton into the mix and have Ziggler interfere in some sort of fashion and steal the title off either one. Then they could just have a 3-4 person mix heading into Survivor Series for the title, with Ziggler holding on to it and starting to get some credibility as a main event title holder.

But knowing WWE, they'll have Ziggler cash it in at the next PPV and lose to Sheamus. *facepalm*

For the record, I wasn't criticizing when I mentioned the tour; I was just saying that the match was painful to watch knowing that would happen.

I haven't seen this stuff for years, so is it normal for people to hold the MITB suitcase for months? I always thought those were cashed in relatively quick. And NoC is the next PPV I assume? That's new to me, but that's what would make sense.

They were talking about NoC tonight so yeah I assume that's the one coming up. I also have been out of the loop for a while, started watching about a year ago when Rock came back. From what I read/saw on youtube, those briefcases do get cashed in quickly, but some held on to them for a while. They waited with Daniel Bryan for a long ass time last year before they had him cash it in. Also, the only time a case was lost to someone else was when Edge won it from Kennedy, so I wasn't really expecting Ziggler to drop the case tonight.

Either way, I hope they go through with it soon. Ziggler needs a major push because the whole Sheamus thing is getting old fast. And no one really wants to see another face Orton reign, or Del Rio reign because his WWE title reigns had been ridiculously boring.

I'd be okay with Del Rio winning then Ziggler cheesing him that very night. Though, I still can't get behind Dolph as long as Vicki's hanging at his side.

I probably won't "get behind the guy", but I completely agree that she is holding him back. I've yet to see a good single star involving a female "manager."

Overall I thought it was a good episode. Brock leaving isn't surprising but I'm disappointed. I was hoping he'd make a run at a title. Is this how HHH goes out? That clip showing Truth giving little jimmy a gatorade bath at SS had me cracking up! Cole talking shit during the diva's match had me cracking up too. The match was so poorly done. I'm with Arus about Dolph. Just can't get behind his push with Vicki there. I'm tired of hearing a guy that resembles a crackhead talk about being the best in the world. I'm also with you guys on being sick of Cena. I hope they progress someone else for the WWE title.

Macho Man had Miss Elizabeth for like 15 years man. ARE YOU DOUBTING THE MACHO MADNESS????

Also, I loved how the SummerSlam crowd COMPLETELY took a shit on HHH's attempted sympathy ploy after the match, so they had to drag Shawn Michaels out on RAW and get him to CRY on camera and talk about how awesome his friend HHH is so *maybe* we'll feel sorry for him.

The Jericho/Ziggler match was excellent if you consider that it was their last match together as student and teacher (the roles are obvious), and it was basically a showcase to Jericho demonstrating how much Ziggler has learned from his senpai. Even his mic skills have improved since his feud, and this puts him in good contention to finally get some legitimate title shots.

The dude over-sells moves, but he's another Mr. Perfect; so good at what he does in the ring that he makes other wrestlers look better. I just hope he doesn't go the route of Mr. Perfect, never winning a title because him losing makes the title matches (and winner) look amazing for the crowd.

Big Show is the same way, to an extent; he's so naturally talented that he makes whoever beats him look superhuman at times. This is annoying to me, because if he didn't actually hold back, there isn't a guy back there who could stop him. I wish he'd get a bit stiffer with his moves, but that's just how good he is.

I agree with you guys regarding Vickie, but I think that as long as Dolph remains heel he can't just dump her, and there's no legit way of turning him face right now, even though he gets over with the fans ALOT in many places. (in money in the bank they were practically chanting Dolph's name the entire match.)

I think the guy is incredibly talented and got so much better in the past couple of years alone, that he really does deserve an actual title run (no, I don't consider the 20 minutes he held the world title on SD a title reign..)

I just hope they do it right. Everyone sees that he needs to drop Vickie, but she gets so much heat that they can't just separate her from Dolph. She's the only reason he remains heel at this point, and like I said, there is no legit way of turning the guy face at this time. Besides, what are they going to do with her after they separate? It's not like it worked any better when she was also managing Swagger. Her role only seems to work well with Ziggler, those two complement one another perfectly.

According to Brock Lesnar's book, Big Show was sent down to OVW as punishment for being overweight and to get back into ring shape. This was a time when the OVW class consisted of guys like Brock, John Cena, Randy Orton, Batista, Shelton Benjamin, etc. Anyways Big Show gets down there and still thinks he's hot shit and starts bossing people around and being a dick, so when the time came for Brock and Show to be in the ring, Brock got in there and manhandled him like a little bitch, off script, until Show was crying for him to stop, in front of a live crowd. He said if he had done that to anyone else the WWE probably would have fired him, but they were already pissed at Show so they gave him a slap on the wrist.

Though it was a tag team, the Bodydonna's with Sunni was amazing (well that and I would have plowed Sunni ways to sunday at that time) as well as Macho Man with Elizabeth (seriously, watch his retirement match against ultimate warrior and I dare you to not shed a manly tear at the end) is the gold standard of Manager/Wrestler.

I know it's been forever, but I don't remember Elizabeth really getting super involved in his matches. It maybe happened from time to time as a consequence of the match going out of the ring, but it wasn't like... any time things went south for Randy she'd be distracting the ref, throwing something, or whatever Vicki does. It didn't hurt that she didn't wail like a banshee, either.

Anyway, there was a point a bit back when Dolph and Vickie were having a spat and it almost seemed like Ziggy was gonna break away. I don't feel he has to turn face to do that, even though people may applaud the decision. What Vickie does after? Well, it wouldn't bother me if we never saw her again.

Anyone been following WWE '13? I think they have earned my money by including an Attitude Era mode.

I'm more interested in how WWE 13 improves Universe Mode. Having a very detailed, customizable, and ongoing world is why I play wrestling games. Smackdown 2 was one of my all time favorites because it just kept throwing things at you (and it helped that they didn't always make a lot of sense).
