Don't blame him. His character is stale, and I don't think anyone wants to do the same damn thing every night for 7 straight years. A new look would only help Cena, but I doubt WWE thinks the same way. GOTTA KEEP SELLIN THEM GREEN SHIRTS GUISE
I was more interested in that Ryback will be getting a push soon; I hope he stocks up with Mason Ryan and they demolish everyone.
I could see the Cena issue a mile away. Cena hasn't been able to change anything about himself in 7 years, because his current "babyface" role brings in the merch sales. The problem is that the merch sales are pretty much only to the kids; most teens and adults can't stand him because he's too clean and prissy. With his mic skills, even giving him a brief neutral or heel stint could do a lot to shake things up. Punk did a good job recovering, though.
I hope they give him an actual feud soon... like Daniel Bryan haha.
Fans chanting "feed me more" and Bryan chanting "NO!!" could be epic.
Now as for Cena, he has incredible mic skills, the problem is that the way WWE has been utilizing him as a pure talent both in the ring and on the mic is fucking outright terrible. '04 Cena was just so much better it's sad that his career got taken down this path. And that's why no one can stand him anymore, and he pretty much gets cheered only by children under 12 and girls whose only purpose in coming to the live events is for the 2 minutes of his entrance.
As for the link that you guys gave here, I could see it being true, but at the same time it makes a lot of sense that Punk just flat out ignored Cena's entire "speech" and decided to go after Lawler, just to further the heel character that we're all supposed to be buying into (because everyone knows how hard we cheered him here at the Staples Center during his Summerslam match... he was more over than Cena, HHH, and Sheamus combined)... but at the same time it's obvious that Cena's character has been stale for years and needs to be shaken up, and I could see why he would be annoyed with the situation. His character is boring and too "pure" for anyone over the age of 12 to not realize.
As for WWE '13, it seems like they are finally doing things right, starting with the entrances which were really bad in '12. I dunno if any of you saw Brodus Clay's new entrance for '13, but THQ impressed the shit out of me with it. Here's the link for anyone interested: http://www.youtube.com/watch?v=RCQC4yFtk4I
double.
This is why Bryan is awesome
Absolutley Melena... when I saw that a few weeks back I was falling down laughing. I am loving that he keeps doing it too. I am really pretty shocked at how in people's face he is, and they never crack a smile.
EDIT: Oh and for what it is worth Exo, my 9 year old daughter is no dummy. She is a fan of "Goatface" and Punk. Psh... Cena.
I hated 12. First wrestling game I've played since PS1. The counter never works and it seems once you get fatigued a little bit it just gets impossible after. While part of it is not being stellar at the game, there is no reason Jack Swagger should destroy HHH in that game.
You can adjust the sliders to make the harder difficulties more tolerable. I lowered the amount the AI counters and increased the ease of the user. I liked '11 and '12 but neither is the end all, be all, I've been waiting for. It seems like every game is missing a few small things that would push it over the top for me. I loved the way No Mercy played, but I loved the way Smackdown 2 generated story for you. Waiting for the perfect hybrid of the two so I can stop buying new games a while.
I'm actually having high hopes that '13 will be a good game, especially because of the whole Attitude addition this time around.
Plus, it's not just Brodus' entrance that they're getting well, it's most of them. The only one I was disappointed with so far from the ones they have released is Ziggler's, and it's only because he's missing the ass cape and Vickie's intro.
Punk's entrance was finally done right, though...
Good to see that the crowd still looks like a SNES picture.
I can get behind Orton being #1 contender if he wins. Hope Ryback/Jinder feud is over and he can move up. Cody couldn't easily ripped that mask off. Should've done it! Saturday Morning Slam huh....so I'd say 25% of raw and smackdown are recaps of previous shows, and we're going to have another? Hopefully it is more action.
DQ + Weapon? They should have just made that happen.
I heard the show would be all recaps and 1 match with "Big named" superstars. I don't know if that means Mid carders, Main eventers, or what.
The thing I'm wondering is If I just saw a commercial saying the last Wrestlemania was going to be on NBC Saturday. I was only half paying attention, sounds weird. lol
Might be a match or two. Don't think NBC's aired a full event the past time they've shown some. I'd mainly be up for seeing the Taker/HHH match since I haven't gone back to download it.
