King is only good these days being serious (which is rare). So anyone taking his spot is a step up.
They had to measure up to NXT's special event, now they have to try and out do NJPW.
At least in the eyes of wrestling fans.

After thinking about it. WWE is so story driven up until PPV's. At the PPV it's all about the match.
You can't just sell people on all story, little action, it becomes like a monthly season finale that doesn't really deliver.
