Most of the participants who had any realistic chance of winning had dumb eliminations. Bryan just bumped off the apron, and then Wyatt/Ziggler/Ambrose all get fed to Kane and Big Show so that Reigns can look stronger when he eliminates them.

Fwiw, I'm not hating on Reigns and I don't think most people are. If we had a Reigns vs Rusev angle for Mania, I would be all aboard that train. But he shouldn't be main eventing Mania when there are so many better, more organic storylines available with wrestlers who are actually ready to be "the guy"

    So we've got so far:

    Cena vs. Rusev
    HHH vs. Sting (most likely)
    Reigns vs. Lesnar

This creates for an awkward card for the leftover talent now. For the major players, they have feuded with each other already so where does that leave us?

Rollins - Already feuded with Ambrose. No reason for him and Wyatt. Bryan would be the best choice really.
Ambrose - Not another Wyatt or Rollins feud. I don't see him and Orton working. Who is left?
Wyatt - While no reason for Rollins, he could make one and has the skills on the mic to do it. Don't go full on face. Possibly Undertaker match, but I think Wyatt is too hard hitting.
    Bryan - Sheamus.....what a waste.
Orton - Not sure what to do with him since he didn't enter the rumble.
    Ziggler - Not sure either.

I would expect Orton vs Rollins since they never really finished up their feud. Wyatt vs Taker has been the rumor for awhile. No idea what's going on with Ambrose though, maybe BNB?

Them giving the IC strap to BNB was also a TERRIBLE decision. Why he is at the top of the mid card while talent like Titus, Cesaro, Kidd, etc etc flounder at the bottom is lunacy to me. Also, lack of at least one NXT entrant was disappointing. Until last night I didn't believe in the entire 'Vince hates everything NXT' but I'm really starting to now after not seeing one NXT guy and after the way The Ascension has been buried.

Also, f'ing el oh el at whichever tard announcer said the crowd's oley chant was a European something or other chant for Cesaro. They aren't fooling anyone.

PWInsider.com is reporting WWE RAW will NOT be taking place from Hartford, Connecticut tonight.

WWE crews are currently at the XL Center in Hartford, the site of tonight’s taping, and they are packing up production trucks and equipment due to the upcoming ‘historic’ snowstorm. As of this writing, the XL Center website is still advertising RAW as taking place, but those in the area are reporting the show has been cancelled.

There has been no word on what would actually be broadcast on RAW tonight if there is no live content produced, but we will continue to update as more information is learned.
    Oh shi-

And yeah, people aren't hating on Reigns. It's the booking that's the problem. This nicely sums it up

The Roman Empire has already fallen

Let’s state this upfront: If WWE felt like it had to bring in the Rock to offset anticipated negative backlash against Roman Reigns, that’s a major sign that having him win the Rumble is the wrong move. Period. This isn’t about the fact that Bryan should have won the Rumble, this is about sending Reigns out to get verbally crucified by the fans.

You really have to feel for Roman, who is a talented star who should have a bright future in WWE. But instead of bringing him along smartly and letting him grow into a huge star, WWE is trying to strap a rocket to him – and it’s failing miserably. We’ve already seen his awful promos, and he hasn’t had a really good one-on-one match yet.

Sunday, the next major cracks in the armor came when Reigns won the Rumble despite fans overwhelmingly turning on the supposed babyface. And while this happened in front of the notoriously tough and smart Philly fans, this isn’t going to be an isolated incident. No amount of damage control is going to offset the hatred Roman will likely receive because he’s being pushed down fans’ throats.

The only thing you can hope for as a fan is that the venom is really directed through Reigns at WWE brass and that Roman gets another chance to truly shine, because it wouldn’t be fair for him to be written off due to the company’s tone deafness.

    Fan entitlement lol

WWE wants to work social media for the free exposure, they also gotta deal with the negative exposure.

Guys I figured out why the next PPV is called 'Fast Lane.'

    Spoiler: show
It's because the WWE Network is gonna be lag free after all the cancellations.

After first being pretty upset over the decision to give Roman the spot over Daniel then I thought about it.

Last year DB had a hell of a "Wrestlemania Moment" and deservedly so, he's one of the most over people I've seen in a long time. Putting him in main even after main event would, I think, turn him into another John Cena. The people would want and like him and support him but then he would get shoved down our throat so much we would grow sick of him. The David vs. Goliath thing will only work so much considering we know he would eventually overcome whatever insane odds put in front of him. Yeah RR sucks at promos, he has the charisma of a turnip. But going back in time so did Rock, he was boring as fuck to watch and I thought for the longest time he wouldn't make it past mid card status with maybe a small push up once in awhile. Thankfully his character really blossomed. I think RR suffers from feeling like he needs to listen to VM and not develop his character and be more of himself. Many of the characters that have always left amazing lasting impressions were the ones that could be exaggerated versions of themselves. Yeah RR really needs to work on his character, he would benefit a lot from a mouthpiece at this point (pairing Heyman with Reigns would be amazing), I wished he would have spent more time on developing more of a personality while he was out, but that can be a slow process. Hell I personally get bored of DB and his speeches about how he does everything for the WWE Universe, he's there because of everyone out there, etc etc. That's all well and good but I don't want to be reminded of it every single time you pick up a mic. The only active people on the roster I enjoy hearing from are Bray, Heyman, and whenever he comes back Zeb, everyone else is either boring as fuck or they're simply way more entertaining through social media, like Dolph.

While I think VM is missing the boat by not doing DB v Brock we have to pretty much deal with it till HHH and Steph can take over. We can all stop watching but it could boil down to watching what stupid shit VM is going to pull out of his ass this time.

As for the crowd turning last night like it did, that's honestly to be expected in Philly or even Chicago for that matter both of those places have some volatile crowds.

What people don't seem to get is that fans aren't turning on this because it's Reigns necessarily, nor that it was the most predictable POS in Rumble history. I could literally tell that Reigns was winning it from the second he walked down the ramp and DB was thrown out. The problem lies in the very simple fact that Reigns is crap on the mic (even after all those classes he supposedly took), and just isn't ready in the eyes of many, if not most, fans. Throwing him up against Lesnar for the top prize in the business AT WRESTLEMANIA is kind of a joke honestly. THAT'S why it's getting all the crap it's been getting, and that's why the fans booed.

That being said, if they really wanted people to get behind a Roman Reigns win at the rumble, there were approximately 5000 ways they could have handled and booked it better than how it was delivered (which was a piss-poor excuse for a Rumble win, if you ask me.)

If this is what they wanted to do, Bryan should not have returned until after the Rumble. Having him come back for it only to be taken out in less than 10 minutes was just a dumbass move.

I'm not a Reigns hater either. It's the process that is flawed. What happened to climbing the ladder? Dude has won one tag title and that's it. He should be competing for the IC, not WHC. I too think he will be better with time. They need to let it happen on it's own rather than forcing it. Just like when Rock started.

Oh I agree, it was handled terribly, everything surrounding DB's untimely exit was handled terribly. He looked weak as hell.

The only thing more BS about the winner being predictable is having Lesnar champion. Yeah he's a fucking beast, but seriously the whole defending his belt every 3 months is stupid as hell. It's a throwback to the crap we were nearly mandated to watch in the 80s of the champion only fighting at the major PPV's cause the weekly TV shows like Main Event and any other crappy PPV they had didn't seem to be worth the champ's time. But with this Lesnar crap he has this insane repeating match of him just dominating people that have been getting brought up those 2-3 months. Granted it has been satisfying to watch Cena get his ass beaten down.

The way he bumbled his interview after the rumble it just seems like he is not comfortable at all with the mic, I can see that being the case when hes being force fed shitty scripted promos he doesnt believe in but last nights interview didnt "seem" like something that was written for him. He even looked awkward just standing there when the Rock was talking. He also needs to drop Believe daaat, it sounds forced and its just horrible. Its a shame because otherwise he could become a huge main eventer hes just horribly lacking in front of a mic.

To be fair, even the Rock seemed thrown off his game in that interview after the crowd's reaction. The worst part is that WWE SAW this coming and still failed to properly protect themselves from it.

As much as I agree it would be waaay better for Brock to be there more often then he is, his one title defense every couple of months is better then the majority of other shit there putting on in his absence. The real issue is there isnt anyone talent or size wise in the WWE that can compete with him on a regular basis and be believable. The lack of depth on the roster for main eventers is horrible, Brock needs someone he can dance with that isnt Cena. Who else is there?

Seeing that Raw might be cancelled also made me realize that they might not be able to tape Smackdown either since Boston is looking at a mountain of snow as well. A week of no new TV following last night could be an absolute disaster.
