General WWE Discussion: Roman Weeps, Taker Retires, MNK/SAM/RDM LFP

As announced, WWE has canceled Raw at the XL Center in Hartford, CT tonight, and instead the company will air a three hour show from WWE Headquarters in Stamford.

Additionally, this week’s WWE Smackdown taping, which was scheduled to take place tomorrow night in Boston, has been canceled. Those who had tickets to the show can get refunds or the tickets can be used for a non-televised live event on June 27th, which is the next time WWE is scheduled to run in the Boston market.

With the Boston show on Tuesday being canceled, WWE will run a live Smackdown show on Thursday night in Hartford, as the storm that caused all of these problems is expected to be cleared up by then.

What WWE had planned for tonight’s post-Royal Rumble edition of RAW will be condensed into the live Smackdown broadcast on Thursday.

3 hour show from WWE HQ. Looks like they found a way to push Roman's win without any crowd interference

This might end up working out for the best. Instead of writing a 3 hour show in one afternoon in full on panic mode, they get a couple of days to plot things out. Just trying to be optimistic here.

Rumor also is Finn Balor was originally scheduled to be in the Rumble last night as well but an ankle injury during a NXT live event kept him off the show. And Bubba Ray is at the moment a one off appearance but there is a possibility he's brought back in now.

They would be even bigger fools to not capitalize on his skills as a heel. Of course he gets the pop at the RR, but he turned into a phenomenal heel in TNA. He can still go in ring too.

Yeah I loved his Bully Ray run in TNA. He turned himself into a great main event heel there.

Bully Ray was one of the few entertaining things left at TNA. His Aces and Eights run though was stupid, but I blame that more on creative than him obviously.

EDIT: Wow, the booing is getting tremendous lol. Daniel Bryan the single biggest reason for boos two years in a row at a Royal Rumble. You'd think WWE creative would fucking learn by now lol.

Lost in all this post Rumble stuff was the news that Arnold Schwarzenegger is this years celebrity entrant to the Hall of Fame. I'm okay with that. He always had fun when he made appearances and I'm sure his speech will be entertaining.

Yeah Arnold is fine for the celebrity induction. Hasn't done a lot of work with them as far as big programs go but you know he's always been a fan and he's shown up a number of times. Hell of a lot better than Drew Carey who is already in and they are running low on celebs that have worked extended programs with the company anyway.

You could look at Mandi Leon for one of them. She was a trainee at ROH's wrestling school and has made some appearances as a Rosebud. Thea Trinidad still the Rosebud with the most appearances without being under contract though I believe.

Yeah, I'm just interested in seeing how they handle the (lack of) crowd. Audiences tend to be rowdy after PPVs, but as the past few pages can attest, this one's been... ugly.

They're showing the Triple Threat and Rumble from last night in the spot of Raw if you didn't see it last night. My money is on some edited crowd reactions.
