As much as I like seeing Taker...without the ongoing streak his match won't be as big of an event imo. It was a great ride while it lasted, but they ended it for a reason and it's time to let Taker step aside.

And while Dolph v Bryan would be an *amazing* match, I can't really see it help either one of em unless there was some sort of belt involved. Even then, one of em would have to turn heel...most likely Ziggler...and again that wouldn't really help either of em. I'd rather see Bryans v Rollins, which would also be a fantastic match, and something that wouldn't hurt either of their current pushes.

A new article has been published over at 247wallst.com, and it provides more details on the announcement made by WWE yesterday regarding WWE Network subscribers.

The article, titled “World Wrestling Entertainment Can’t Pin Down Subscribers,” implies the 1 million Network subscribers reported by WWE is a cumulative total since the Network launched, and does not represent current and active subscribers.

The article references “churn,” which is lingo for Network subscribers who have left, and notes at the end of quarter three of 2014 WWE had 723,174 Network subscribers, with gross additions totaling 285,000 and churn totaling 254,000 subscribers.

Furthermore, the article notes WWE will be releasing its fourth quarter and 2014 full-year results next week, “and analysts are expecting an earnings per share loss of $0.08 on revenues of $135.42 million for the quarter and an earnings per share loss of $0.47 on revenues of $537.56 million for the full-year.”

Assuming it was a response to the #CancelWWENetwork trend. Dicks.

STAMFORD, Conn. — Due to the tremendous response from fans to the free November promotion, WWE will again offer a free month of WWE Network to new subscribers during February in advance of its biggest event of the year, WrestleMania 31 on Sunday, March 29. During the month of February, subscribers will have access to all of WWE Network’s programming, including a live podcast hosted by "Stone Cold" Steve Austin this Monday, February 2 featuring Triple H, and the all-new, live pay-per-view event WWE Fast Lane on Sunday, February 22.

“Last November, we offered a free month of WWE Network to new subscribers with great success, helping us reach the one million subscriber milestone,” said Michelle Wilson, WWE Chief Revenue & Marketing Officer. “We are excited to extend the same opportunity in February to those who have not yet subscribed, so they can experience all that WWE Network offers right before WrestleMania.”

On Tuesday, WWE announced that WWE Network had surpassed one million subscribers just 11 months after launch, making it the fastest-growing digital subscription service.

Like other digital subscription services, such as Netflix and Hulu Plus, fans are able to sign up for WWE Network online by going to WWE.com and can watch WWE Network on their TVs through connected devices such as Sony PlayStation 3, Sony PlayStation 4, Xbox One, Xbox 360, Amazon Fire TV, Apple TV and Roku streaming devices as well as Smart TVs, including Sony and Samsung. The U.S. English language version of WWE Network is available direct to consumers in more than 170 countries and territories, and recently launched in the UK and Ireland.

Whoever wrote up that Press Release fucked up by not mentioning NXT. Considering the next Takover event is during February, they should have mentioned that. I can't vision very many people who would watch that and not want more.

It's by far the best thing they have going. Every main PPV makes me just check the calendar in frustration for the next NXT Takeover to make it all worth it again.

what about like weekly shows? or would that be considered an event? from what ive seen on youtube NXT is that crack and i would like 2 watch more

They have a pre-taped weekly show every Wednesday night at 8PM EST. Then they have quarterly live events which will also be on Wednesdays and are basically their PPV's but are about a million times better than any actual WWE PPV's of late.

Yep, it is a weekly show, if that is what you are asking. They are short (just under an hour), sweet, and largely just no frills good ol' pro-wrestling with much less sports-entertainment piled on. It's there, but it takes a backseat more often than not. Still storylines, still feuds, but usually the talent and matches outshine them. I watch it weekly and it doesn't disappoint. Usually there are 4 solid matches an episode.

EDIT: I also don't hate the commentary in NXT nearly as often/much as I do on RAW.

NXT also does house shows in Florida. I think they also did their first show outside Florida a little while ago in Cleveland.

Oh and for those that don't know, next NXT Takeover main event is Sami Zayne vs Kevin Owens and it is going to be the best thing that has come out of WWE in a very long time.

I'd love to drive down for an NXT taping one night. I've heard they are really fun, but tickets are very limited...like only a couple hundred. And they go fast.
