Ya, I agree that they need to flesh out the rivalry better than a constipated angry-look contest. They aren't really making Punk look bad though because every event since the PPV has shown him getting screwed over. This is usually the type of shit you expect happening to the face. Since that's not happening and the Ryback stuff is happening, they could potentially turn this into a "regime" piece where they steal AJ's power and start a group.

I kinda think Ryback just standing there looking mean is an interesting contrast to Punk/Heyman just blabbering. While I'll generally agree his character isn't particularly innovative, nor do I really feel like he deserves a belt yet, the thought he'd be a #2 choice just in case Cena can't rehab fast enough doesn't seem like all that bad a move. The alternative would be Punk getting the night off (and probably bitching about it) or suddenly shoeing someone else in who you know would have to lose. Knocking off Ryback would also give Punk a notch in the "respect" belt since he'd be the streak breaker. I almost kinda want it to happen so Ryback's future matches aren't just obvious jobs.

Speaking of botches, the tag match early on had a few bad ones, too. Not sure if you could blame Sincara or the other guys, but it didn't help my lacking "like" for any of them or the general forced feeling of this generally soulless tag team scene revival. I suspect it's gonna be Hell No vs. Rhodes Scholars with the latter walking away with the belt to eventually break Kane/DB from this skit of theirs that kinda lost a step in not building onto it tonight and just repeating the "I AM THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS!" yelling.

He did, a couple times, but he actually does that a lot. It is just one of his "things". He used to do it a lot more, back when he was squashing jobbers 2 at a time. They would try a move on him, he would squash it and then yell stupid in their face. Last night though I think it may have been a bit more sincere lol

Yeah he was visibly pissed imo. I think Albert is probably mad he came back and he hasn't done anything really significant. I'd love to see the HIAC punk vs. cena pushed and as an angle Cena isn't medically cleared so they replace him with Ryback!

Sheamus looked worked to hell last night from Sandow. My wife and I were rooting for Sandow to win so badly. Once Cody was in the ring we knew it wasn't going to happen. While Team Friendship is hilarious, seeing the same thing in ring with them is getting old fast. Road Scholars would be great to come out on top. Kofi has his run as TT champ and seeing R-Truth in a suit I can't like.

I didn't bother to watch the "debate". Shit is stupid. Also, during JR's spot I got the feeling it was going on longer then it should've, as if they were waiting for something to happen.

I don't want to see Ryback get the title shot just yet.

I don't want him to take the belt and I don't want Punk to end his undefeated streak. Notice Ryback, Tensai and Brodus Clay were all introduced as monsters about the same time. And the only one doing very well right now is the one who got the slow build. Don't want to see that ruined by him being hotshotted into a title match.

I see it being a fallback plan:
1-cenas not ready for HIAC, put Ryback in...I dont know how they'd work it so punk beats him without making him look weak, after all he's done since April.
2-Cena's not 100% come HIAC, make it a triple threat to protect Cena
3-Cena's 100% come HIAC, Ryback, who has no mic skills, gets on the mic, briefly, and says he's sticking up for the HOF/Legends who punks disrespecting (ha plays into punks respect shit)

I really felt like it was WWE trolling us with the possibility that Stone Cold was going to interrupt it. That is what it felt like to me. I knew that it was impossible (as from what I understand Austin is filming in Mexico) but the hype was getting pretty intense I almost forgot it couldn't happen. Mocking Austin, tossing the number of days Punk had held the belt out there (316), etc. Would have been pretty amazing had it happened that way. Looks to me like Albert didn't try to help with the finisher like bigger guys usually do. Just basically said "I'm dead weight, pick me up without any help from me whatsoever". Hell even Show would sort of hunch over or hop onto people's shoulders when going for a finisher (Cena giving him the FU comes to mind).

Haha I had the same feeling.
Also, as for the AJ thing, when she said she got a "handler" and DB's music hit, I was seriously marking out and thought it was him lol... dunno why, but every time that guy's music hits it puts a smile on my face. The whole yes/no thing with the crowd is genius. Especially for a guy who everyone claimed has no charisma and couldn't have any meaningful character portrayed on TV.

Daniel Bryan has been the breakout star of the year as far as I'm concerned. He took a 18 second wrestlemania loss and turned it into momentum like I've never seen before. I still think I AM THE TAG TEAM CHAMPIONS is the best thing wwe has going on right now.

After Punk got out of the ring w/Ryback and was walking to the back, someone shouted "if you're the best in the world get in the ring!". Many other "you suck!" lol...While I do think he's a great mic performer and he can wrestle, I just cannot buy into him being a world heavyweight champion, especially this long.
