Not sure I buy that one as Joe is supposed to be booked for indy events early in June against Chris Hero. WWE usually wouldn't let someone debut until after their prior commitments have been fulfilled.

On another note Impact is once again changing nights. Moving to Wednesdays night starting June 3rd to compete against Lucha Underground and NXT in hopes of boosting the ratings.

Wouldnt this piss off the other indy guys thats just joined the company in the past year?

He's far more well known to the American audience then any of the other recent signees, even guys like Kevin Steen. He's been on national TV on an almost weekly basis for a decade, so he has instant name brand recognition.

As big of a name as some of these guys have been among marks/smarks, even the most casual of fans likely knows who he is.

Vince has never really wanted him. Only reason he's getting a shot now is because of HHH and him being the one running NXT and being responsible for the talent there.

NXT has another live event tonight in Philly too. Seems Bully/Bubba Ray will be making his NXT debut with Joey Styles in his corner a week after making his Impact return to face Baron Corbin who was calling out an ECW original to give him a challenge after he disposed of Rhyno last night.

Yes TNA allows people to work other promotions as long as the events aren't televised.
