Looks like Survivor Series is going to be one of the worst PPVs in recent years. =/ How do they expect us to give a fuck about a 5 on 5 match where all 4 feuds within it weren't interesting to begin with? Oh and how does Foley have anything to do with this? -_-

Yeah I was expecting Lesnar too. Expecting Lesnar and finding Alberto instead. Not sure if disappointments can get any bigger than that.

Not really sure if any of you guys ever watched wrestling before though. Having a survivor series match with feuding members is how most survivor series matches work. You can't have a match where each member has nothing to do with members on the opposing side. Is it believable that both captains picked members that are in feuds right now? Not at all. But if you aren't suspending your disbelief while watching wrestling, you're doing it wrong.

I was gonna go through previous survivor series matches, but fuck if I can remember who was feuding with who. Usually its the captains who are in a huge feud, and they pick up people, some of which are feuding themselves, but some just from, you know, being "friends"/allies.

But cmon man, you really dont think its lame to basically redo the entire HIAC lineup in one survivor series match?

Hoping they spice this up with drama to make the teams change up a bit. That's the best way to fix this line-up without "luls we were just jking don't yell please" nonsense. The onry problem is that we're missing Cena and Shaemus since they're the ones that need heel the most. Would be amazing to have them within the original line up and then turn heel. Wouldn't be too much upheaval if the current roster turned heel tbh.

In short, no. If the feuds are gonna continue, then it's better they all get lumped into one match rather than have each feud have its own individual match again. At least that way every match on the PPV won't be a clone of the previous one.

Youre right, atleast the rest of the card should be fresh. Whos challenging show for the title then? Sheamus invoked rematch, thats a repeat. The wwe champion is tied up in the survivor series, as are the tag champs and intercontinental champ...which leaves the US title and divas title(another repeat match most likely too).

Ive read a cena/ziggler match, brock and HHH supposed to happen too.

I didn't say every match will be brand new. But at least half the matches from HIAC will be in this one so it will open up some new spots. Sheamus has to have his rematch since he lost the title. And who cares what the divas match is.

No really though, this PPV is going to suck. The elimination match will be decent, but will probably end with Ryback vs all 5 of team Punk, after which he will decimate all of them and pin Punk for the final win. Boring.
Sheamus will lose to Show, again boring.
Cena and Ziggler? Well okay, if it helps build Ziggler a bit more to get ready for his world title push, why the hell not.
Other than that? What the hell are they gonna do to fill up 3 hours of PPV? Dump Mysterio/Sin Cara in a random tag match again? Boring. US Title on the line? Well woohoo!!!.... oh wait, the title has been pointless ever since Cena lost it back in '04. Boring.
Divas match! Oh yeah that's gonna steal the show for sure.

After seeing the fashion Ryback lost I was very annoyed. Then, Monday night, I again shook my head with what they're doing with Punk, Ryback, and the SS match. When Heyman said "co-captain" I did get excited anticipating the entrance of The Beast. When it was Del Rio, my wife and I both laughed and sighed.

Cena vs. ZigZag? What's the point? Either Cena will win making Dolph even less credible or they will have Dolph win by some "controversy" to keep SuperCena in tact.

We've all said enough about Sheamus. Nothing more needs to be said.

I get it they want more of a PG look but they can do better than these so called feuds and rivalries. I don't look at one of the current feuds with any excitement revolving around them.

You really don't even seem to like wrestling. Anything thats put out you just stamp it with boring. Why even bother watching?

Because personally Ryback going apeshit on a bunch of people sounds awesome to me. Show/Sheamus had a great match last PPV so I'm excited they might again. Cena/Ziggler had one of the best TV matches a couple years back and I'm excited to see what they can do. As for the rest of the card, why even bother calling it shitty already when nothings even been announced yet.

I think its more the fact that WWE has mismanaged its mid-level talent. Its been confirmed many times that mid-carders are extremely disappointed with management. Low pay, the fact that top-guys are getting everything, and everything like that. This isn't the first time this has happened; hell, Punk went off on WWE for this very thing last year before he, himself, was pushed. Focusing all of their energy and spotlight on the top guys isn't a very good strategy when one of those top guys (Cena) gets hurt, and now you're in panic mode.

Now we're seeing people getting rushed to the top before they were ready in Ryback, yet guys like Ziggler continue to tread water, and you get these PPVs where 90% of the matches are boring because they've had no plot invested in them, because the WWE isn't focusing on anyone but 5 wrestlers. Del Rio should be backstabbing Punk; they had an epic feud last year, but they don't have the stars available to use him that way.

This is annoying.

This is my biggest problem with the product these days. With so many repeat matches and minimal changes in the storyline, why should one care about them? I miss the old days where PPVs were months apart and there was time to build solid storylines that made you interested.

I'm really hoping something happens to mess up the SS Teams because not using Lesnar would be a HUGE mistake. The draw for having Lesnar and Ryback on opposite sides of the ring would be huge and could set up a future (singles) match which would likely also be huge. Set that for the Royal Rumble and you already have a great card just with Ryback vs. Lesnar, Rock vs. Champ & the Rumble itself.

If it were up to me, I'd use the main PPVs for main event and some mid-card talents and keep the 'who cares' PPVs for mainly mid-card and some main event talents with a less important storyline (Sheamus-Show for example). Plus this would give mid-card talents more ring time which could possibly help move them to main event status.

And the sad part is he was such a poster child for the slow build up too until his sudden jump into the title picture. That was one of the reasons I really didn't want that match to be Ryback instead of Cena. But Vince once again got a bit ahead of himself.
