Chad Gable is a new favorite.
Saw one of his matches against Tyler Breeze a while back and he was so reminiscent of Angle in the ring. If he can develop just half the character that Angle did he can have himself a nice career.
I saw this through the Wrestling Observer site. Very interesting stuff on WWE's announcing policies and techniques.

Fuck revisionist history, regardless of having no actual wrestling ability Goldberg was goddamn amazing. I didn't even remember his match against Regal until the Monday Night Wars episode. All I and most remember is him spearing motherfuckers into oblivion.
OK and him ending Bret Hart's career and that abomination against Brock at Mania
Goldberg was a perfect example of 80's Hogan set in the late 90's. Limited wrestling skill, incredible charisma, and flawless booking. He was a great example of what a good organization should do--enhance the strengths and hide the weaknesses.
He kicked Bret in the head giving him concussion issues.
And the Brock match. You really just gotta watch it. Everyone knew both were leaving so the crowd turned on the entire thing. Ended with Austin giving both guys stunners.
Goldberg botched a mulekick so bad, bret suffered a brutal concussion.
And the brock match, theres more to it than just "the crowd turning cuz they were both leaving". The crowd turned because neither guy wanted to wrestle. There was literally 10 min of them prancing around doing nothing.
Shit quality but here's Goldberg murdering Bret
The Brock/Goldberg match should be watched in it's entirety to truly appreciate what a shitshow it was.
Next NXT Takeover is August 22nd, Owens vs Balor for the main event.
Surprised. Though Owens would just move on to the main roster. Doubt he wins though.
Everyone knew leading up to WM20 that Goldberg was leaving. News broke literally the week of WM that Brock was leaving to tryout for the Minnesota Vikings. Thus, the crowd shits on both of them heartily and it becomes such a trainwreck that JR has to acknowledge the crowd reaction while Brock and Goldberg freak out and Austin tries his best to hold back a shit eating grin.
Sidenote, how ridiculous is it that Brock Lesnar had never played any kind of organized football in his life, but yet he made it to the 80 man roster on the Vikings before getting cut. Unreal.
I remember reading about his combine numbers compared to pro players and it was pretty damn impressive.
Looks to my like it hit his head rather than his chin?
Most aren't actually making real contact and it comes down to the selling, whereas there Goldberg drilled Bret straight in the dome. I'd assume it was probably a matter of Bret being a little too close for the kick, since Superkicks are generally done from further away then that.
Goldberg's kick was more of a roundhouse that came arcing from the side and presumably into Bret's temple there. Most super kicks are side thrust kicks aimed to the chin. Not to say a SK can't be botched, but it's a lot easier to curb the follow-through on a SK than it is a roundhouse. Sucks it happened, but I imagined Bret's eventual stroke would've ended things anyway.
Goldberg also destroyed Raven's career by beating him 37 times in a row![]()
