Or maybe you know Punk is in cahoots with both them and Maddox. Maybe Heyman is pulling the strings and recruiting up and comers to the WWE to be "Heyman guys" and getting ready to band them together. Who knows. Its definitely an intriguing thing they have going on with Ryback continually being attacked and by not having it be Lesnar.

I also can't imagine WWE letting a part timer in Lesnar win the Royal Rumble, especially for a 2nd time.

I mentionned this before, sell the product if you want it to be believable. When someone "unexpected" jumps in, security is all over that, justin fucking roberts took out a fan who jumped the rail for fuck sakes. Im pretty sure all security is local and booked by the venue, why would they know who these 3 NXT people are?

It just makes the event "feel" more realistic when you at least have SOMEONE reacting. Refs, security, SOMEONE?! Hell, JBL could have threw off his hat and clotheslined one of them, complaining about how they ruined a perfectly good match. Instead, you have everyone just laying around and standing still while three guys just beat the shit out of him, and Punk gets the win and Cena just walks into the back like "okay, job's done; time for a beer". Like its perfectly acceptable to have your shot at a title belt disrupted, or to have people interrupt the title match.

Shit just felt really, really corny. I'm glad the fans, at least, were pissed.

ITT: Complaining about suspension of disbelief in wrestling.

Really guys? Things conveniently work out for whoever the writers decide to all the time in WWE. This is wrestling, the rules change to fit the plot, not the other way around. It has been this way forever.

There's doing it well, and then there's doing it in a way that seems completely shitty and half-baked.

    You don't get it. Nevermind.

Why didn't anyone break it up?

Edited, I don't want to cuss. It was no disqualification.

They put Ryback through a table twice and didn't stop the match.

I think in some form Ryback is humanized now. People will feel more attached to him having that happen.

Could have atleast had planted security get beat up by those 3, just...SOMETHING, to make it look unscripted.

And I get it, kinda. The rage at them not being stopped, and it seeming stupid and corny and unbelievable. Then I remember what company we are talking about. I remember the last couple of years and the stories it has pushed to the top. I have to think that those three (Dean Amrbose/Jon Moxley, Seth Rollins/Tyler Black, and Roman Reigns/Joe Anoa'i (yep, THAT Samoan family)) are the doing of the HHH. Much like all the tag team wrestling we have been given lately.

I could be wrong. I very often am. But to be honest, I am tired of the same people wrestling the same people. We need more stables. We need new faces. Dean Ambrose is someone I have been watching and waiting for for ever now. If he comes in alongside Tyler Black I will be so so happy. If they form a stable either alone or under Punk, awesome. In other news, if CM Punk spent his last night running away from someone and being a cowardly heel (I HATE IT), awesome. Some of these are more likely than others. I would love to see this happen though. I would love it. Cowardly Punk needs to GTFO. New World Order Punk needs to get goin.

I thought the best two matches tonight were the very first match, seeing that Sharpshooter from Kidd was great, and the Sheamus v Show match. Great match... again.

My apologies if it was no DQ. Still would have liked to have had some reaction from someone getting paid out there. Even Cena just walked off, although I suppose he would have "lost" anyway with Ryback beasting him.

I also suppose its just going to be another feud for Ryback. I figured they'd have him out of the Punk picture after this, but I suppose he'll get another rematch clause since he was screwed. Is this going to continue in this way all the way up to Wrestlemania? I think it'll be downright humorous at some point. They're doing a great job of making Punk look like a complete weakling out there, with his sadface whenever someone holds his belt or hits him. I hope they make him decidedly less sniveling when he fights the Rock, or that'll be a boring match. The man's mic skills are too good to be reduced to a quivering mound of flesh and tears when the Rock's mic train gets rolling.

Absolutely agree there, Lucavi. I cringed at the beginning when he was running around with those deer in a headlight eyes, afraid of... Cena? Ugh. So tired of it.

He's selling the scared heel that doesn't want to lose his precious title perfectly if you ask me. Yes, run the fuck away from Cena. Obviously run from Ryback as well.
The fact they're bringing in new guys is a good thing, Punk could form a new heel stable that will have his back, and transform his heel persona even more, and with new guys having his back he'll turn into the cocky guy that was running Nexus and the SES, and not a guy that has a sad face when others hold his belt.

Regardless, whatever it is that Punk does, I'm happy. Especially if he's still "your reigning and defending WWE heavyweight champion".

It isn't that I don't understand 'why' he does it. I just hate it. I think it is largely just pointless. He can still swerve win, he can rollup win for all I care, I just hate seeing someone that good on the mic, and in the ring, portrayed as a cowardly heel. You wouldn't rather see the persona he embodies to sell WWE 13 in commercials? That kevlar wearing, militant, "everyone is under my boot" character instead? I would rather see asshole heel, chaotic heel, even insane heel over cowardly heel. I like Punk, one of my favorite workers. I just hate that part of all of this. I am tired of it.

My guess is that they could Heel Rock/Lesnar at WM and have Cena win as a "fluke" in an unfavorable match. That's just based on the poster at least.

Ugh, I really expected Lesnar to come help Punk out tonight. His biggest fan sitting front row even raised the suspense even more... but I guess the creative team is holding on to pretty much every appearance they have left to have him show up consecutively for like 2 months prior to 'Mania.

I think that "fan" is a plant. Guy's at damn-near every show.
And I thought the ending was good, three FRESH new talent debut, taking out the big guy. If this forms a stable it'll help set those guys up for the future(hopefully).
Cena no-selling the loss and just walking out was really dumb though, I expected him to kick out or something, he was "down" for quite a while.
Ziggler landing the superkick and going over Orton clean as a whistle makes me happy, I hope they have him use that more often as a "surprise" finisher, and give him more wins.
I dunno what folks were talking about, I dislike Sheamus and I'm sick of BEEG, but I thought that heavyweight match was great, both of them put on a hell of a show and I was surprised Sheamus didn't get the belt back.(DQ still so feud will continue but whatever.)
I do hate that they could have set that beating up for a Ziggler cash-in and have him win(could have done the assault in the ring or something), but I guess they could be teasing at a cash-in, since the crowd was going nuts for him at the time anyway. Could you imagine the pop if his music did hit?

This, this and this. I thought the exact same last night. Orton putting over Ziggler with a clean finish? Awesome. I know he seems to get a lot of hate around here but Orton one of my top five because of shit like this. When is the last time you saw Cena put someone over like that with a clean finish. The guy is just a good guy... barring those wellness violations.

Also, YES, that Show/Sheamus match almost stole the show for a second pay-per-view in a row. I am NOT a fan of the Big Slow (or Sheamoose), mainly because I don't tend to enjoy the matches with the big guys because it just never looks good (and like you, in the case of Supersheamus, I am just bored to tears of the guy). Kali v Show on last week's Smackdown? Worst match I have seen all year. But then I HAAAAAAAAAAAATE Kali, which is hard to do when I feel as sorry for him as I do.

Why Ziggles didn't cash in is just a mystery. They either have clear plans for that MITB case or they have screwed themselves into a corner with it. Either way, my daughter had to tell me to shut up (rude...) because I kept telling her "The Ziggles is coming! The Ziggles is coming!" as Show lay on the ramp eating ramp dirt. Then the crowd joined my anticipation. Then we all got let down... again.

Ambrose was the icing on the cake though. I hope they don't fuck this up. They are going to fuck this up.

I keep waiting for Ziggler's music to hit during one of those beatdowns... WWE is either writing them into a corner with this, or they have something set up with a "countdown clock" type of thing. I mean, every single MITB cash in has been done relatively early throughout the year following the win. Maybe they plan on playing on that whole "Ziggler is too scared to cash it in" storyline, and bring it to a point where he's months, days, hours from running out on the year-long contract. I think it will be refreshing if they do it the right way.... and hopefully Dolph ends up with the world title belt.

I'm stoked about Tyler Black (Seth Rollins) finally debuting. His match against Davey Richards in Toronto in 2010 was great to be live at.
