General WWE Discussion: Roman Weeps, Taker Retires, MNK/SAM/RDM LFP

I was thinking how I would fix the Divas division at work today:

Bring Sara del Ray in with a Kharma/Shield type dismantling of the whole division and reject the idea of being a diva. "A diva is a princess, a spoiled brat, somebody you pat on the head to placate. I'm not a diva, I don't want to be a diva, I don't want to be Diva's Champion. I'm a woman." Can she work the mic? I honestly don't know, but she'll have to have that ability. Basically give her a Punk style anti-establishment character with a hardline feminist message. She demands respect and has vile scorn for any woman in the company who puts their hard work aside to please the boss. She'd get massive heat just by calling people out for bullshit they are guilty of. It would be, at the very least, different and interesting. So you get Vince involved with a storyline in the women's division and it would give it some credibility. Give her a face to go up against who pushes up against her hardline approach by saying that she's strong, confident, and looks the way she does because it's on her terms. Lead this into a face off that actually means something and when it's over and the face triumphs, have her adopt some of the concepts, like it actually being the women's division.

None of that will ever happen. Nothing that ever remotely resembles it ever will. It's too bad. Guess it's back to fart storylines for Natalya.

Nah Natayla has gotten her fart issues taken care of. Now she's just to busy trying to sleep with the Great Khali to do anything else. Eve is apparently on her way out as well and is supposed to drop the title to Kaitlyn tonight. Sara Del Ray would be a nice addition and I'd even agree and add her to the Shield. Granted she isn't going to join in on many of the beatdowns but she could still be a benefit to the group as an added distraction and venture into the divas division. Paige is another one they need to bring up already. She's shown herself in NXT as being more than ready down there and is at this point doing nothing more than beating the most recent debuting diva.

Your idea sounds like exactly what Paige was doing in NXT in her promos, Trichocyst. She is the anti-diva. I would love to see her brought up soon.

Diva division will be a joke as long as most of them suck at wrestling. For some, hot chicks prancing around in skimpy outfits and grunting a lot might be enough, but there's no getting around the fact there are strength and speed losses comparative to the male competitors, and a lot of times lacking execution as a result. Now, this isn't me saying the ladies can't be good wrestlers (and I don't watch NXT to know about who you guys mentioned), but as long as the emphasis seems to be more on hot chicks and gimmicks, people are gonna not care, go to the bathroom, get something to eat, or whatever when their matches pop.

The only one with any relevance is AJ but shes busy with Ziggler. Kaitlyn is boring, and who does she even have to feud with as champion?

Yeah, mostly thanks to Eve. And shes leaving. So that leaves just about AJ as the only entertaining diva.

I feel like it won't happen till after Wrestlemania so the loss may have just been to add credibility to Wade as champion. Seeing as Orton is still involved with the Shield, I expect him to turn heel at their inevitable 3 on 3 match with the Shield.

I don't know they said it was a personal matter for him. Sounds like something that would be more immediate than three months from now.

And the diva division right now is pretty much AJ then Kaitlyn, Tamina, Natalya and that's about it as far as I can remember. They really do need some new faces in there and aside from Paige none of the NXT women are ready unless they bring Sara Del Ray up.

And wtf was that shit at the end? Honestly how can people still get behind Rock for the Rumble match? Punk has been destroying him on the mic week after week, and all Rock does in return is call Punk and Heyman silly names and sing... and really? he wasted 75% of his time out there not even mentioning Punk or the feud. I'm really getting sick of his same old crap.
Too bad Punk is still dropping the title in 2 weeks. >.<
