It's a good thing I didn't pay for the stupid network again.
Trying to watch yesterdays NXT matches I missed and shit just won't run![]()
NXT was great last night. Best match and legit MOTY candidate was Nakamura and Zayn. Nakamura's entrance was so over.
Really? I just watched now, and it worked ok for me. I know a lot were experiencing issues with it at times last night though.
That forearm segment is probably as close to an Ishii/Shibata segment as we'll ever see in a WWE ring. I'll never not mark out for him reversing a lariat into an armbar. He makes that just look so easy, and for a taller guy, that always impresses me the way it looks. The kickout after the Blue Thunder Bomb followed by the ovation. Damn. Wrestlemania weekend, debut match and Zayn's finale is the perfect storm. I hat to say that it's all downhill from there, but seriously, how do you follow that up?
All in all, these two really knew how to work that crowd, which is no surprise. Credit to them and whomever helped lay out that match. Even times when they were pretty much doing nothing, they were milking the hell out of that crowd.
It's easy to not have to adapt his style much against a guy like Zayn who has been around and worked with a variety of styles. I don't know how things will work out when he goes against homegrown talent. So long as they keep him away from Reigns and The Master of the Feed Me More, there are so many money matches with current members of the main roster. I'd even care about a Ziggler match for once, since I can only imagine the hilarity of him selling some of his offense.
I've said enough how much I despise the move, but damnit I can't wait til Ambrose tries the rebound clothesline against him and he turns it into an armbar.
I saw this on Reddit...

P.S. Poor Austin Aries. That match wasn't bad, but when you're debuting on a card that has a dream match involving someone else arriving and the "heart of NXT" leaving, that match never had a chance. He's certainly capable of it, so I'm hoping that he'll pick up more steam.
Well judging from all the streaming issues everyone had last night I can only imagine what a shit show tomorrow will be
I've watched it several times this morning. If I get a seizure from it, I won't even care. CFO$ is crushing it. Violin screeches are the new guitar riffs.
I've seen comments saying "stop the voting, there's your MOTY". It's a weird thing. When people list candidates for MOTY come December, I figure something like 90% of them will be "more than the match" as in the stakes/stipulations/etc enhanced it. This was a dream match but not as much in some traditional senses wherein we're talking 2 people in the same company for a while just never worked against each other, or a generational clash like Hogan/Rock, Rock/Cena, for example from WWE. There also was the debut/final match here, but I guess I'm saying that there wasn't a shared story within the context of the given company.
On the topic of wrestling shirts, every bonafide wrestling fan needs a Bullet Club shirt.
Meltzer stuff
Ibushi being highlighted during the show is likely an indicator that he'll be working for NXT for more then just the Cruiserweight Series.
Also apparently WWE might want Ricochet for the series, though Idk how that's supposed to work with LU around.
Ricochet has an out clause after season 3
huge LU spoiler
Spoiler: show
I think Evolve's stream is going to die. It is awful already and it hasn't started yet. Just showing old highlights.
Yeah same problem as yesterday
Pic of stadium setup for WM, still under construction, don't click if you wanna wait till Sunday to see it completed:

Anyone interested can look into it further, but there's rumblings of a pretty insane stunt in the Shane vs Taker.
