Of his more "serious" ones, I really really loved Man on the Moon. I'm partial to it though because I remember watching reruns of Taxi with my mom growing up, and always loved Latka and Simka. He really really shined as being able to replicate Kaufman in that movie.
For funny, Liar Liar was great to me. Serious, I'd go with 23 but sunshine is close because I love me some Kate Winslet.
I loved The Mask the Ace Ventura (first one) and Bruce AllMighty and of course Dumb and Dumber
Eternal Sunshine of The Spotless Mind will always be one of my favorite movies.
Eternal Sunshine and the Truman Show are by far my favorite Carrey movies. He was absolutely brilliant in Eternal Sunshine.
Bruce Almighty and Both Ace Ventura's are toppin' the charts for me on his "Funny" movies.
Truman Show and 23 I like as well. I love just about anything with Jim in it :\
I think The Truman Show is the best thing he's ever done.
MOCK. YEAH. ING. YEAH. BIRD. YEAH. YEAH. YEAH!
Once Bitten is amazing. Also don't forget In Living Color

The Cable Guy is also a great movie, but I'm not sure which that falls more under.
Wow, no love for Yes Man? It's not Ace Ventura, I'll admit, but I liked it a lot.
Me, Myself & Irene.
I actually think he's a legitimately great actor. All of his old stuff was pretty cheesy and a lot of it doesn't hold up well, but in context of the 90's it was great and is still funny as fuck if you just let yourself enjoy dumb humor. A lot of his serious stuff was good too, I never saw Eternal Sunshine because it kinda looked depressing as fuck but Truman Show and The Majestic were solid, as was Bruce Almighty. Ace Ventura 2 has moments that literally make me spit drink across the room, like the spears in the legs gag.
Now that I think of it, this whole thread makes me feel terrible for Jeff Daniels, the movie would be a shitter without him just as much as anyone but the only person anyone gives a shit about in regards to this is Jim Carrey, lol.
Not even one mention of "I Love You, Philipp Morris"? :/ I think I've seen pretty much every single Jim Carrey movie that is out there and there's not one I hate. "Dick and Jane" is kind of a movie that went largely unseen, I believe? Still a good one too.
I'm definetely psyched for this.
Edit: no wait, I haven't seen the penguin one.
I love you Philip Morris and Fun with dick and Jane where both good lighthearted movies with darker themes.
Jim still has I think. Never saw Poppers Penguins, but he's typically solid-great depending on role.
He sure as fuck isn't Adam Sandler. jesus christ
