never once went through charlotte without some shitty delay, one time plane was boarded and about to depart from gate and ended up unloading us all, giving us no plans, everyone freaking out cancelling flight, 20 min later while I'm in that line they announce new plane for the old flight... go to that gate, need to get new ticket made at desk across the airport. fuck that place.

I was in Charlotte last month for a connecting flight, basically had just enough time to complain about my luggage being lost and then run to the other side of the airport to make my connection

should mention this was all for a 30 min flight to raleigh

atlanta was a pretty dumb airport but I got a free meal when the waitress screwed up my tab, so that was cool I just can't ever go to that bar in that airport again

They were offering a free international flight plus a hotel & transportation to and from if you volunteered to get off the plane when I was there, but I didn't want to spend a night in Georgia

I've never had any major problems with airplane delays. Like 30 minutes max, and I still wind up arriving before the scheduled landing time.

I like trains. You rock up 2 mins before, get on your train, it leaves, you sit in comfort for a bit, whizzing along at pretty high speeds, then you arrive, you get off, you're out and in town in 5 mins. No mandatory fondlings either.

But the trains in the US suck so yeah, keep flying.

Tbh I might have taken that free flight deal, Skirky. International flights are expensive.
Also ATL is really big, that's all I remember. The gate for my flight to Tampa was so far at the other end of the airport from the gate my flight from Richmond that we almost didn't make it, and we were SPRINTING the entire way. Fuck that place.

My all-time favorite airport was Heathrow

on a return trip from ireland many moons ago the airline we were booked with were undergoing surprise bankruptcy while we were waiting in the airport to see if they could get funding at the last minute to continue as a business. it took 2 days and a few different airports to finally leave
