I love people who completely disregard the cost, pain, and medical complications that come with giving birth. It's FAR safer for the mother (and less expensive) to get an abortion.

Has absolutely nothing to do with the statements I just addressed.

So I think Demo has come back around to not having a penis because it was taken from him.

Reminds me of Mac and Dennis picking up chicks at a pro choice rally, then at a pro life rally.

    Yes, she can.

Abortion is not a viable option for millions of women, whether because of morals or discomfort with the idea. This does not make it their fault a child is being brought into the world.
    Wait, what? Yes it does.

the "fault" lies in having sex, not refusing to get an abortion.

Because dotting an i and Two thirds of your post completely ignoring another viable option are the same thing.

except it's irrelevant. It's still an option that's responsibility is solely weighted toward the female.

don't be obtuse. A destination is the cause of an action, not inaction. You died in a car accident because you turned right, not because you didn't turn left.

How does the father not have any weight in the adoption decision? Some men actually do fight for custody of their children, especially if the mother doesn't want it.

You implied it was a mother's sole responsibility, don't act like i'm picking nits here.

it is picking nits though. A woman has to go through 9 months of pregnancy, birth the child, get over the emotional anguish of letting go of your child which you just pushed out of your vagina after you fed it for almost a year, and sign some papers. A man has to sign some papers.

I mean, maybe responsibility isn't the right word, but regardless...

This just in, no fathers have emotions or want to keep their kids ever.

that's a separate discussion. we are talking about women that choose to keep a baby against the fathers wishes and whether he should be financially responsible.

So then what if the father wishes to keep the baby but the mother doesn't? Should the mother be required to pay the child payments to the father for the non-existent baby in lieu of having an abortion, because that is what the father would have had to do if she kept the baby and he didn't want it? Certainly not. If a woman wants to keep the child and the father does not want to be a part of it, then that is fine, but she needs to make that decision while aware of the financial responsibility she is taking on. You're saying that this decision for men happens every time they have sex, and that just isn't right. You're also saying that it is OK that this double-standard exist simply because the woman has to go through the 9 month pregnancy if she so chooses to keep it, which also just isn't right.
