I'd rather see you try to put a definition to what is considered a living human being and not, where at the moment of conception a fetus is now equivalent to grandma.

- Being a living organism? Nope, or you better not scratch yourself, or you kill thousands/millions of living skin cells.
- Ability to live on its own? Nope, can't do that.
- Self-aware? Nope.
- Potential to become a human being? Sperm/eggs can be considered the same, and this ambiguous definition means that stem cell research = murder.

There is no absolute way I know of to define a fetus as a human without having some extreme views on what a life is (or being hypocritical).

Is a strand of thread an item of clothing?
Is an egg a chicken?

If you answered no to these, then a fetus is not a person. Why? Because it has not grown into a that can sustain itself and/or live outside of the uterus.

Lets say the acorn in question is from an oak tree. A tree, by definition, is a fully developed plant. An acorn, by definition, is an undeveloped plant. They are both still oak.

A fetus is an undeveloped human, an adult is a fully developed human, but they are both still human. Same with the egg/chicken.

When you "abort" a fetus, you kill an undeveloped Homo sapiens, that is, a human. Which, by every modern, civilized society is called murder.
