I'm glad the cells didn't continue their Tornado dance Eastward across Texas. I was driving to work and it was like god threw a water balloon filled with lightning at the city. I got to see lightning hit a substation I was towards from a few hundred feet away, that was pretty cool. All the traffic lights being out + torrential rain + idiots made the rest of getting to work hell.

It's good the Tornadoes weren't on the ground very long in some cases, or there might have actually been fatalities.

All jokes aside, I haven't heard anything from my family in Grand Prairie, along I-20. Any reports on the damage in that area? Navy internet = teh suckz

My parents live about 10 miles NW of there and my sister 10 miles west, and they say there wasn't much damage. I checked Grand Prairie news and didn't see any bad reports. There were a few areas without power still yesterday though. From what I've heard, the worst of the storms hit Lancaster about 10 miles SE from Grand Prairie.

Grand Prairie was generally left unscathed, as was where I live (Uptown Dallas). Lancaster and parts of Arlington got the worst of it though, know somebody who live in Desoto who said just a half mile away entire neighborhoods were destroyed. Pretty scary stuff. Was at work in Allen when all this went down, we went away from all the windows and hid in conference rooms for an hour, only heavy rain here.

Also, TO is fine but apparently not playing much for the Wranglers.

We did the same in Plano before I drove back to Dallas hoping a new cell wasn't gonna hit hard. Mostly just kept in touch with family in the mid cities.
