Being arrested, charged, and found guilty of kidnapping minors, surveillance, and exhibitionism are not injustices. I've seen 1 maybe 2 specific accounts of someone unjustly being put on the list, the rest of the arguments are just nonsensical outrage over a specific kind of prevention being put into place to protect children. If you're a rapist and put on the list and can't play video games because of laws targeted at pedos cry me a fucking river, don't rape people. Pretty easy.

It's one thing to think that the sex offender registry is flawed, and another thing entirely to think that sex offenders have some sort of inalienable right to play video games with minors on consoles (if you're over 21 and care enough about video games for this to affect you, buy a damn PC and hack your console)

How effective will/can this law even be I have to wonder. Wouldn't it be easy as fuck to just make an email account or something to get through this? Additionally, if this is going to be some automated system based off of some database, how long before errors cause normal people to show up as pedos and not be able to process payment for online services? I just think this is meant to make someone look good politically but probably does little to actually improve the safety of young people.

As far as people being on the sex offender list for dumb reasons... I have a brother in law that will stop between two cars in a parking lot, pull his dick out, and start pissing. I told him he needs to stop doing dumb shit like that before he ends up on the list. Bottom line, don't pull your dick out outside, even in your back yard at night with a fence all around you, and you won't get charged as a sex offender for doing something that regardless of the actual intent, is generally pretty stupid and everyone should know better.

That has always been the point. I haven't seen anyone seriously angry that they won't be to play xbox online. It's everything else that we are upset with.
