holy crap lol
holy crap lol
i would argue that cystic fibrosis is a much more well-known genetic disease than sickle cell anemia
didn't read the second page, guess it was already posted
whoops
what does it look like I can still see it but I don't know what you plebs can see
http://www.haematologica.org/content/92/7/865.fullThe hemoglobinopathies are the commonest, life-threatening, monogenic disorders in the world. Fairly recent estimates suggest that 7% of the world population are carriers and that 300,000–400,000 affected children are born every year.4 The majority of these (approximately 250,000) have sickle cell disease.
... in some European countries sickle cell disease has now overtaken more familiar genetic disorders such as hemophilia and cystic fibrosis.
So it has overtaken two of the diseases you listed from that website for higher incidence in population. Guess it's a pretty small disease bro.
@Shiro, I said perhaps, I'm sure there was something I forgot about, that happened to be CF.
Also, inb4 I'm going on some righteous crusade for sickle cell anemia:
I know no one with the disease you racist fucks.
I tried to bury the evidence but your detective skills have exposed me
To be fair, I thought Sickle-Cell Anemia was more well-known too. I could just be a difference in regional education though because they shoved that shit down our throats in NY.
If the region is NY all the way down here to TX then that's a pretty big region. But I am noticing a trend amongst all the folks in this thread who thought it was more well-known about... (I'm included in this).
There may very well be something more at play.
i knew what it is
and im black yall
Yeah, go back to Europe, faggot!
Liroy knew what sickle cell is when he was young because he's black and everyone knows that all black people know what sickle cell is
btw this thread is awful
thread title made me puke a little
