Look how faithful the NXC versions were to the originals and then listen to the PXZ versions compared to their originals. I don't think the "its a handheld" excuse works any more after how good the Hexyz Force OST was.

Got it in. It's a little weird that the actual game box orientation is different from the cover box. Will be weird sitting on my shelf like that but oh well.

This is actually rather infuriating, I must confess. I commend their taking a track from the last great title in the MMX series, and especially one as recognizable as that—but the synths are cheap, and the bassline is far more prominent than it should be, which sounds especially awkward just past the 20 seconds mark.

There's no excuse for that.

The crimes don't end there, though...

Really, I'm plenty disappointed in their instrumentation choices—usually. As far as Mega Man properties go, however, they didn't completely fuck everything up. This is actually rather good:

Some of the dialogue is classic, though. So happy they have Vashyron in there.

Notice a lot of songs/sfx are from SRW too. Namely SRWZ 2.1/2.2 come to mind.

This game is so amazing, 10 hours and still loving it.

2 hour battles already, gets a ton more fun and more challenging later on, although the last fight I did was really easy compared to the ones before it.

Thinking about grabbing the game next week but I'm worried about it being a fanservice-only game, is the SRPG side any good? I love the crossover and the characters but I don't want to play a crappy SRPG game only for the sake of the characters that appear on it.

If its line Namco X Capcom (everyone tells me it is, but slightly better) its a mediocre SRPG. Not bad but not anything really special.
Probably worth a play if you are a fan of the characters since that does make it a bit more fun/interesting with their interactions and all that.

X and Zero are pretty much (if not literally) the absolute last unit you get. Chapter 27, iirc.

I'd say it's above mediocre, since Endless Frontier has one of the more fun battle systems I've played.

For me, it does what a crossover game should do -- have good enough interactions that you want to play the source material.

Then again I'm biased, because I've played some truly fucking terrible crossover games (Chaos Wars and Cross Edge, anyone?)

I don't know like any of the characters besides like 3 and I'm loving the hell out of the game. Addictive and fun, battles get reallllly long later on and I need a break after like 1-2 fights but still enjoying it everyday.

I'm going to give it a try again eventually. I think the thing that annoyed me (much like Chaos Wars..) is that they give you this large roster of characters, but a stupidly limited number of slots.

Yeah and only a handful are actually good to use if you're going for the True End route.
