Dan Bylsma will not and should not lose his job, even if Pens are swept in 4. But hes definitely making his leesh a lot shorter for next season if we do bow out in 4-5. Yes, you won the cup. But lets be honest, this team is not okay with making the conference semifinal only once in the past three seasons. We are not a bubble team, just making it and then bowing out in round 1 in consecutive years won't sit well with ownership. To compare to football, the Rooneys, who never change coaches for the Steelers - Lemieux is not Rooney. Lemieux has owned the team for roughly a decade and has already changed coaches several times. He will pull the trigger if he feels the coach can't get it done. That being said, I'm not calling for Bylsma to go. I'm just saying, with HOW we've lost, this year and last (and even that embarassing game 7 vs MTL at home in 2010), its making the sand grains fall faster for HCDB. We're starting to enter Sharks territory with these 1st/2nd round bow-outs for 3 straight years. Making the playoffs is a formality, what we do once there is the only metric with which this franchise judges its success for the past 5 years and for the next 5 years.
