I hear Toronto needs a goalie. This could be perfect for him, because the Leafs would be so ecstatic even making the postseason they won't mind when he goes headcase and blows it in the playoffs.

Howard loves to play super aggressive and out of the crease, it works well most of the time unless 3 players are chasing the puck and still manage to not block a pass to someone.
That was pretty much the entire team fucking up, all at once, making for a spectacularly :retard: goal.
It's possible but I think Gillis and Burke don't exactly like each other. Also the Canucks seem to love trading with Florida. Add in the fact Luongo's wife still lives down there and it would appear to be his ideal location. Wouldn't be hard to see it happen after last nights performance by Jose Three-or-more.
I disagree, he should get a more severe punishment since he's done this before. A repeat offender who plays over the line, has little to no respect for players. And with the assist to Bob McKenzie for putting this all out there last night, I present my case as to why Torres should "hang."
Torres suspended 2 games for charging MIN's Nate Prosser Dec. 31 2011. Two days earlier, fined $2,500 for elbowing COL's Jan Hejda. Torres was suspended 4 games (2 reg season, 2 playoffs) for head hit on EDM's Jordan Eberle April 5, 2011. Torres' 1st game back after Eberle susp, 1 yr ago yesterday, hit CHI's Brent Seabrook on controversial hit that didn't result in suspension.
Chicago in 5... what the fuck was I thinking?
Haven't posted in a while, it's been a busy week here in FLA. Did manage to get a lift to Sunrise to see the Panthers in Game 2... 3-0 lead and nearly blew it in 2 minutes before the defense woke up again. Epic game, hell... this series has been pretty good. Not PHI/PIT good - that series is literally so bonkers it's causing the NHL execs to get nervous - but pretty good.
Why, just last night FLA rallied from a 3-0 deficit in the first to score 4 unanswered goals and win the game in Jersey! That's a character win right there. I got a feeling florida has it within themselves to take this in 7 or less - they're playing defense and trap lock-step with Jersey, but FLA's offense is way more dynamic than "One-Time Kovalchuk" or "Wrap-Around Parise". You can lay dollars down on where some Jersey forwards will be at any given time.
New Jersey's defense are some of the laziest people in the O-Zone, too - Their shots are weak, they never, ever pinch, and at the first sign of trouble they bail the zone. I get they're a defensive team, but they contribute nothing offensively, even when behind in the third.
Florida's D, on the other hand, like to pinch to keep a play alive - but only if it makes sense to do so - and they're talented shooters in their own right. It's as if Jersey's gameplan is too rigid - they need Powerplays to get goals on the board. Add Jersey's horrific numbers in the face-off dot and Florida is getting more, longer, and better looks than Jersey when they have the puck.
Both teams often get trapped in the neutral zone. That's one thing Jersey does really well - killing rushes dead at the blueline - but Florida is capable of playing that game too.
Ticket Prices:
Get in the building: $30
200 level endzone: $75
100-level 4th row beside the player's benches: $95 - paid 85, the scalpers were selling below face on game day
fuckin awesome
Game 4 tonight. Hope the Rangers can beat the Ottawa Andersons so I can see them win it on home ice Saturday
No, you shouldn't hang people for playing on the edge and then occasionally going over. You should hang people for wtf-were-you-thinking full retard moments like Keith's elbow on Sedin, Steckel's elbow on Crosby, Domi on Neidermayer, etc... Those are the kind of needless plays that are almost guaranteed to deliver a lasting injury, and aren't even close to a hockey plays that were a little too aggressive.
Yeah it's a shame I don't have more money/vacation time, I'd love to catch a game in Sunrise. I think Cats are getting slept on just because they had a slump at the end of the year and backed into the playoffs. They're probably not going to make it past the second round because there's still some very good teams out there like Philly that they'd have to run into, but they can definitely beat the Devils.
The way NBC showed the ladder, FLA faces the winner of WSH/BOS... basically, boston. It's cool that they're beating NJ, but a physically capable team will flatten these guys.
Throwing 800 rubber rats onto the ice after the win was fun as hell. I think I hit Versteeg in the skate, but I couldnt tell if it was still my rat - Versteeg got a good rubber-rat showering.
Edit: and yes, Toronto will contact Luongo if the price is right for Burke. Rick Nash is a dumb price, hence no deal.
Edit2: Luongo's cap hit will be a problem, however.
Yeah I had to correct that in my post. Lou's $5.3333M contract would be a big hurdle for Toronto. It pretty much narrows down what we would have to let go for Lou - Komisarek or Armstrong would go purely for cap room to do that deal, and i don't think VAN's gonna be happy with either of those.
Also Luongo has an NTC - no modification. We all can dream, can't we?
NTC means shit. Player can wave it. Also, NTC could also mean no trade during a specific time. An example would be during the school season or during the regular season. Whoever is between the pipes tonight, is the future goalie of the Canucks.
There are out in his contract. There is a couple of times where the team can trade him and he can't stop it. Personally though I think the team will come to him and talk about moving him. Because the other option is to wait for the new CBA, which could have an amnesty clause to kill one contract. Guess which one Vancouver would kill?
Pretty sure Luongo wouldn't like to see his huge contract negated.
