Yeah.. I went to the Coyotes game last night. While I was walking to the game, two kids were walking down the street asking if anyone wanted two free tickets to the game. I told them I'd take them and then they were like, okay, how about $10? I was like.. Okay. Sure... I only know like five people out here and the game was about to start, but I figured that if I couldn't get anyone take them then I'd just give them away. I left them at Will Call and two dudes I play hockey with ended up showing up.

I will be the first to admit it is dumb as hell. Coming from South Jersey/Philadelphia, I can't even comprehend playoff tickets, let alone Conference Finals tickets for $5 each (I already bought mine for $40.. Which is ridiculous enough). But yeah. There is my pointless anecdote of the day.

In other news, Go Devils.

I love how the media keeps mentionning how theres actually fans in Phoenix now...except they neglect to mention the little tidbit about playoff seats in Phoenix costing less than pre-season nosebleeds anywhere else.

I haven't even watched a minute of the game since I'm stuck at work and I saw it was 0-0 through two periods. You all are too easy. (And Bryzgalov was the only reason the Flyers were in any of those games against the Devils, but when you go a whole twenty minutes with <5 shots on goal you can't expect him everything to be stopped).

Rangers are playing solid. Nothing too stellar, but they're doing all the right things.

Conference games may seem boring to the occasional fan and bandwagoners, but they don't know hockey.

The two worst teams in the playoffs were the Penguins and Flyers, by far. they would have been swept by anyone else, including the Sharks. They went 20 whole mins w/o a shot because of this magical thing called defense. Bryzgalol is a huge reason the Flyers were bounced so easy and won't win a Cup in the next 15 years during his contract.

It was good while it lasted. With the lack of playoff success, with the direction they are going. They decided to change directions. That's within their rights. Alex doesn't fit into that system obviously. It just doesn't make any sense to him. He plays, he did the best he could under the circumstances and he earned his right to be a free agent.

I say this as a friend, but no. Not even close.

They played the worst hockey, not that they were the least talented. I do agree though, the Sharks comment is a reach.

Protected by the best equipment the game has ever seen, players are no longer the least bit hesitant to put themselves between a slapshot and the net because they know there’s almost no chance they’ll get hurt.
