Blame Torts for playing some of his players 1/2 the game, and some of them a shift per period. They were gonna run out of gas at some point.

So fucking mad. Had to go to a housewarming party tonite, planned to watch the game on DVR when I got home. Turned my phone to airplane mode so no one could fucking spoil it for me. Made the gf stay off facebook and twitter and shit for the same reason.

Midnight the crosstown bus is taking forever, so we say fuck it and take a cab. First thing I see on the cab Tv screen is "and then there was two, Rangers run out of gas." FUCKKKKKKK. I lasted all night not checking the score and then get spoiler by the fucking cab ticker. And it couldn't even be good news...

At the moment it's difficult to look back at this season objectively. This team tore my heart out of my chest in back-to-back games. It hurts to have seen them go deep and fall short. And it's hard to ignore the voice that says this was a lost opportunity while the window was open (with PIT, PHI, and BOS out... and squeaking by WAS).

But the ride was fantastic. 8+ months of enjoyment. There were highlights - beginning with signing Richards, the start in Europe, the Winter Classic, the HBO series, sitting at the top of the conference, and three close series of post-season hockey. Most important of all – prospects are developing and this team has established an identity. This season was a success.

Not to mention all the quirky events that made for great forum fodder (Avery's dismissal, Anisimov's celebration, Torts vs. Brooksie, the center ice brawl vs. the Devils, etc.) This season was a lot of fun.

The Rangers fared better than 26 other teams. For the most part, I'm going to ignore the bulk of the negativity surrounding ECF loss... why? Because the future is just so damn promising. This franchise has made a 180 from the lockout. I can only think of one or two teams in a better position going forward... I recall the pre-lockout circus, a playoff drought that lasted an excruciating 7 seasons, the 2004 deadline fire sale, the early exits post-lockout. The 2011-12 Rangers are a godsend by comparison.

Going forward... Improve the power play. Add some more scoring depth to help Henrik. Get a 6th D-man so our top 4 aren't playing 20+ minutes a night and worn out by the 3rd round. Stay the course. It's so close.

I'm thankful we got to see such a great season. I'm optimistic for the future. As fans, that’s all we can ask for. Let's go Rangers!

Can't blame the guy for having options based on how Torts utilized him.

I hope Sather re-signs him, he's a talented player. But its almost assured he's going to demand a 1 way deal.

Rangers had a great season. I feel bad for King Henrik. As predicted Gaborik was a fail. Atleast it wasn't due to an injury that caused him to not produce.
