Canucks lost one of their best young four years ago due to him getting killed riding his bike into an oncoming semi.
I thought he died in a boating accident? Assuming its the same player? Drafted 10th over all in 2005. Luc B something.
But NHL players are straight-edge and don't drink or do drugs.

Looks like he just landed a triple lutz lol.
According to team doctors Mike Sauer returning at all doesnt look good. What an absolute shame....hope Dion Phaneuf sustains an inoperable knee injury or something along those lines.
And gabby was hurt all playoffs long and will require surgery this offseason. And then he took a shot at Gaborik saying that Kovalchuk has been playing with a herniated disc.
I remember that hit... I even .gif'd it.
That's head down, not paying attention, and running into someone a whole lot bigger than you. Nothing dirty about that.
Edit: Re-Re-Rewatching. Hands hit chest, body-to-body, but Sauer never saw it coming and that was the difference. Also the helmet flying off like it was a baseball cap probably didn't help Sauer much.
I cant see anything wrong with that hit at all on phaneufs end
<---bitter Rangers fan herpderp. But still fuck Phaneuf, easily the most overrated defenseman in the game right now.
Really he didn't even hit him that hard, it was just that he banked off the wall and then onto the ice so he took three impacts in half a second...
Protip: Keep your head up there, Lindros.
This.
His best year was his first year with the Flames which was in 05/06 right after the lockout with all the new rule changes and a ton of opportunity for him to play, and score, on the PP. As players adjusted to the rules and the game picked up in speed, his game has decreased more and more to a good standard mediocre level
