Well when you pick all Canadiens (A) your team sucks and (B) you're stuck with it cause no one wants to trade for people on your team.

Something I thought of. Not only did the Jackets lose the top over all pick to the Oilers, the pick they got from the Kings went from a mid 1st round pick, down to the 30th pick, lol.

Yea I was pretty pissed the 2nd rounder we got from Philly in the Grossmann trade ends up being #60 overall. GMJN has said he thinks the top 50 of this draft are all really good, and we finally make a seller's move at the deadline, only for it to backfire.

No where as bad as Columbus though haha. That poor team.

And frankly, I think most people agreed that, unlike vetoing trades, that move actually panned out well and people liked learning more about other players from outside their own team/division.

Things would have panned out even better if you had given people a choice.

Thats a fucking dick move, looking at that homer pick limit without context, but frankly, gotta remember Ratapata's team a few years ago was completely unacceptable as every team throttled him like 10-1 each week but not every team played him the same amount of times so some teams had a better win % by about 5% simply cause they had an extra week vs Ratapata and one less week not against a legit team. No they didn't; that move actually had support. The whole league suffers when you have Ratapata teams, not just Ratapata. I don't think Ratapata was even suffering, he was all proud of his Canadians-only picks, like "sac re blu! I'm the only one picking the best team - taking these Russians on the Montreal team!!"

If someone else would like Co-GM for Yahoo next season, I'm willing to let a Co-GM be designated, and we can put trades to league vote, but no way in hell will homer rule be removed. That was a good rule that encourages people to learn more about players around the league.

Yesterdays deadline of 5pm for the devils has passed and instead of forfeiting this year's draft pick #29 overall for that whole circumventing the salary cap with Ilya, they decide to keep this years meaning they still have 2 years to surrender a 1st rounder. So far down in the draft i thought this year would have been a good year for them to give it up.

Mock drafts have them taking Goalie of the Bellville Bulls Malcom Subban. Yeah PK's little bro.

Malcom shouldn't slip all the way to 29th though. Lots of final rankings have him Top 10.
However, until teams start drafting, anything can happen. Angelina Esposito slipped to 54439580th pick after being a guaranteed top 5. Then slipped from late first rounder to "Does he even play hockey anymore?" status.
