PS3 Blu Ray Reading Problem

Recently my PS3 has not been able to read Blu-Ray discs.
It takes a while but I have to re-insert the disc over and over until it actually loads it.

Was just curious if this has happened to anyone else and how you fixed it?

My PS3 is the old fat kind and I have had it since 2008 so I realize its old but was just wondering if anyone knew how to fix this before I dropped money for a new one.

Just open that sucker up and use those air cans to blow that dust that has been sitting there for years which might be the reason for your troubles. Look it up on YouTube for instructions

If not, most likely you'll need a new lens for your drive or just buy a whole new drive to replace it.

Think this might work?

The PS3 doesn't seem to have any problem with DVDs and not too much difficulty with Blu Ray movies. Just games seem to be the problem.

Buy a new drive then turn the broken drive's diodes into a ray gun.
