* The following adjustments, scheduled for patch 1.22, are in development and subject to change.

The measures outlined below will be implemented in patch 1.22 to address server slowdown.

Market Areas

• It will now be possible to purchase items from all three cities via designated NPCs.
• The location of the item search feature will be changed.
• “Market Guide” NPCs will be added.

Inns

• The entrance to the Ul’dah Inn will be relocated to the Gold Court in the Ul’dah Merchant Strip (X:6, Y:5).

Please note that until these measures are implemented, the current restrictions on entering the Ul’dah Inn will remain in effect.

I'm pretty sure that 95% of the player base doesn't know that there even is a search function, let alone how it works.

If only it was useful for something other than exp.

Wait, you need to sit around doing dick on a DoW/M class for it to be useful for exp (rather than crafting, which changes your class) so it's not even useful for that.

I'm usually the one to complain that their seek/search system sucks (because oh lord, does it suck), and I'm not a frequent user of the seek/search functions so I could be missing something, but I'm pretty sure you can seek on a class that you're not currently on (so you can craft).

You can select whatever "preferred class" you want when you set up your search comment... but while you can see any resulting player's classes/jobs/etc., the search results only show players who's level/class/job currently matches your criteria. So, no one is going to find you searching for an exp party while you craft/gather.

Which is why it's terrible.

A "flag" should be an independent search thing you put up and set to your specifications. You set what it is you're looking for, what job(s) you have/want to do it on, etc.

More importantly they need to add quests to search/flag criteria. Imagine being able to put a flag up listing all of your jobs and tagging it with aurum vale and moogle.

Now imagine being at turning leaf needing a WHM for moogle because one of yours had to leave, and being able to do a worldwide search for people interested in moogle along with a list of all of their available jobs.

While listing grievances, don't forget to mention the fact that they left party > search in there alongside the new search, to add extra confusion.
