I've seen ads for it. Wait till Monday when people can post their reviews and it will get a big buzz.

But, games published (not developed) by Bethesda do have a reputation of being pushed out to pasture to fare on their own.
(They're usually kinda bad too, :\ )
First Review: 9.5

looking forward to getting it next weekend, got several days of holiday i need to take before december so i think i'll get over the slow-burner part fairly easy
I'd like to know why the two bottom things are bad.
Surplus of npcs means the world feels more alive.
I don't like it when games teach me everything within the first 15 minutes, would like to progress naturally and then get better at each individual thing as I play the game.
First part: After not playing the game of course, the reliance on NPCs in the story mode may be cumbersome to get from objective A to objective B? Either way I can't imagine interaction of action sequences to npc convos can be a bad thing for a linear plot.
Second: Yes. I don't like it either. Infamous 1 is a good example of power progression based on the length of the story. A single player game that tends to blow its load in access to abilities gets to be repetitive early.
Also:
I fucking love the trailer song.
Review embargos just lifted. Pretty much fantastic across the board.
Unsurprisingly, IGN loves it.
This game is awesome for a stealth game. Really enjoying the Victorian-Steampunk-Moby dick-ish theme
for a game that came out today, this thread fell pretty far down the page. Is it so middling that it doesn't warrant any comments? I bought it this morning, but I'm still stuck at work for another half hour, so I haven't played it miyself yet. I'm thinking I'll attempt a no discovery run on my first playthrough.
Hearing "Game of the Generation" from friends. I'd assume that people are too busy playing it to comment.
Game of the Generation might be going a bit far, but it's really fucking good. I got it from GMG for $45. Worth every penny. The plot (at least so far) isn't anything amazing, but all the different ways you can approach the gameplay, exploring, and lore definitely make up for it. I have no idea how long the game is, but I have like 5 or 6 hours on the game and only just finished the first real mission. Tons of hidden shit to find!
There is a Bone Charm up on the tower at the end of John Clavering Blvd. Don't go over the bridge to the front door. Swim past the piranhas and and climb up the chain the get it. Gives a health bonus for drinking water.
Wow, this game kind of came out of left field for me...Totally gonna pick it up this week.
I love this game because when I die I'm not all on some "fuck this game that was bullshit" I'm more like "Ok that didn't work I should have tried this or that." It's fun.
I have played for 10 hrs today, this game is really really good, so many things to do and ways to approach your missions. I'm on mission 4.
