So I'm terrible at being a patient, stealthy person. I did my first run as a stealhty, non lethal person and I still got High Chaos in just about every level. This will make my actual High Chaos lethal run feel somewhat redundant but I can't wait to go through the game with slightly different powers and just wrecking people and turning them to ashes. Gonna do the last mission tomorrow. Epic game so far.

How'd you get high chaos if you weren't killing people?

I just started mission 6 and I have 0 kills, 0 discovers in all my missions so far. Missions 4 and 5 were just crazy easy now that I have Blink2, Possession2, Dark Sight2 and Stop Time2. Perhaps this game has too many runes.

I killed like 1 or 2 in the level and still had high chaos. Not really sure

Edit: I probably had a few too many bodies discovered at times and a few people sensing I'm there. Oh well, I'll just do a real high chaos run regardless where I just wreck things.

Just finished the game. Whats really cool is the final levels certain things are different based on whether you were low or high chaos.

    Spoiler: show
Like, for the final level was in the middle of a storm with the conspirators fighting each other. But for low chaos it seems things are much calmer. For me, Havelok was ready to jump to death with Emily when I killed him, but it seems in low chaos he just has her locked up in a room.

Holy fuck Stop Time 2 and bolts are awesome.

Go into a section with lots of guards, stop time, use bow and shoot at every single guard.
When time unfreezes, everyone fucking drops at the same time.

So I beat the game and didn't kill anybody and wasn't even detected, yet I didn't get the Ghost trophy...
"completed all missions after the prologue, alerting or killing no one but key targets.
All the stats for all my missions have the Ghost box checked off. Bullshit -_-

    edit; Fuck, found out why...
you can reload saves, and replay a mission from that mission's Summary screen, but you cannot go back to replay a mission from the main menu.

well, I would highly suggest doing a low chaos run before doing a high chaos run. Ending mission contrast just has a bigger impact that way.

Tech question pertaining to Dishonored: So I purchased Dishonored on steam for PC. I'm using an xbox 360 controller (wireless) with a wireless receiver for PC to get the signal. Whenever I try to look to the right (only direction this happens with, so using the right stick) it continues looking to the right at a slow speed and never stops unless I input another direction. Has anyone heard of this issue or how to fix it? In addition, I play dark souls on PC using the same controller and I've never had any issues.

well, just beat the game for the third time. Didn't get detected or killed anyone and no Ghost or Clean Hands trophy again.
Apparently there's a glitch where if you choke out Granny Rags on her last quest, it counts as a kill, but the kill wont show up.

Just beat the game today. Felt like a mix between Dark Messiah and Skyrim which made it really fun. Can anyone speak to how drastically the ending changes if you kill guards or take the lethal option for most missions as opposed to going the nonlethal knock route?

    the ending is very different.
The whole last mission has vastly different objectives as well.
It's worth going through the game to get the 2nd ending, especially if that second ending is the High Chaos ending.
I did my second runthrough without upgrading any of the powers, and with just basic Blink, sword, and gun, and still got through the game very quickly.
Blinking right into somebody than using your sword is pretty much always a 1-hit kill, even if you are already engaged with them.

oh, and there are actually 3 different endings. 1 low chaos ending ans 2 high chaos endings. though the two high chaos endings you can change in the very last moments of the game, so you can get 1 high chaos ending, then reload to 5 seconds before, and get the other.

Time to start a low chaos game this week and resist the temptation to just cut the throats of everyone i see.

A few sites had this last week but some might not have seen it, pretty cool.

Finished a ghost run earlier and after a bit of work got the trophies for no kills/no detection. The granny bit in mission 7 is a bit lame for working on those trophies.

Overall I definitely enjoyed the game, but think they have a lot of work ahead of them for a sequel. Only have choke and sleep dart for non lethal (aside from story given methods) is really underwhelming. Going through now on a high chaos run and hope i'll be a bit more entertained with some more variety. Story could use some work as it's fairly predictable. :/ hope it's not another black and white, rainbows or hitler type ending like bioshock was.

    It's not.
There's actually 2 High Chaos endings also. One's pretty bland, the other does have some rough shit go down though.

Dishonored: Dunwall City Trials, being released in December for $4.99 (or 400 Microsoft Points), will include 10 challenge maps that will test and track your combat, stealth and mobility skills. Ten distinct trials await challengers – including an arena battle against waves of enemy AI, a gravity-defying run of drop assassinations, and a race against the clock. Dunwall City Trials also features a whole new set of achievements and trophies as well as a global online leaderboard that will establish the greatest assassins for each challenge.

The second and third add-ons for Dishonored will be coming in 2013 and will each feature story-driven campaigns. Pricing on these two packs will be revealed closer to launch.

Daud, the leader of a group of supernatural assassins known as ‘The Whalers’, will be the focus of the second add-on pack, scheduled for release in early Spring 2013. Make your way through new Dunwall locales and discover Daud’s own set of weapons, powers and gadgets in this story-driven campaign. How you play and the choices you make will impact the final outcome…

Additional story details on the third add-on pack will be revealed closer to its launch next year.

Finally got around to finishing the game. Definitely had a blast going through my first playthrough. Ended up getting Shadow but I think I killed something early on so I couldn't get Ghost . So many opportunities to kill so many people in so many ways...all so tempting in a stealthy run lol. Agility 2 along with the Strong Arms charm is fucking sexy.
