I went to the forum out of sheer curiosity, and it looks like it's straight out of Geocities circa 1996.

Unfortunately, there's no way to verify if any of them are actually members of the NYPD, or police officers at all. I think it's probably a valid conclusion if they have some sort of evidence, but the article is so vague like most of Vice News reporting.

Yeah, I completely agree the timing was hella stupid. However, they kinda went to the extreme. And to be fair, even without the cop killing incident, I suspect these guys would have flipped out regardless. The air about cops vs. them has been rather tense since Ferguson.

It just worries me that if even dancing around them causes them to snap just how on edge they are and how rash their decisions are going to be.

Agreed. Making him feel bad and stupid for doing that was right. Shoving him as they released him was petulant teenage behavior.

It's the proximity and him being behind another officers back. Could have been an EDP or an agitator. They're all on edge, so understandably, they're all probably strung out and ready to jump at a moments notice. It was a joke, but a very poor one to do near a NYPD officer when all this crap is going down, especially when his back is turned.
