Authorities said the driver, Gene Thomas Brandon, "intentionally" hit the marked police vehicles in the parking lot of Woodmore Towne Center in Glenarden on Wednesday afternoon.

No officers were in the cars at the time of the incident and there were no injuries, authorities said.

While the exact motive was unclear, police said Brandon has mental health issues and had not been using his medication.

There seems to have been an altercation prior. The truck comes down the street, stops at the cops, makes the right turn, turns around somewhere in that area, then comes barreling down towards the cops.

Must be something else to it if they're going for Attempted Murder. I read an earlier news article that says they were charging him with Destruction of Government Property and Assault, which I thought was strange if the vehicles were unoccupied, but then watching the video, it's pretty close to at least the assault charge. I wonder what he said after they arrested him to spur those charges?
