Family members said police were called after Legrier threatened his father with a metal baseball bat. Jones, who lived in the first-floor apartment, was shot through the door, according to her cousin, Evelyn Glover.

Nevermind the fact the video showed him reaching into his waistband and pulled out an airsoft gun that looked like a real gun. Was it shitty that the prosecutor recommended that charges not be brought? Maybe, but it doesn't take away the fact that Tamir Rice is dead because he did the one thing you never fucking do. Actually I'll bite on your bait. First off open carry doesn't mean you get to point a gun, fake or not. He was pointing a gun at various people which has been substantiated by witnesses. He then proceeded to reach into his pants after cops were told someone was pointing a gun at people, and dispatch neglected to tell them that the caller felt it was a fake gun and just wanted it checked out. At some point you have to tKe some fucking responsibility. I could care less if he was black, white, Latino, whatever. If you act like a dumb shot and point guns around at people, fake or not, chances are you are going to get lit up like the Fourth of July and I'll have zero sympathy for that.

And just in case the emphasis is missed on my previous posts: He looked like an adult, even though the police had a handful of seconds to go from speeding into the frame and ending the boy's life. The theory of the black, scary boogeyman is pervasive in this case even though the evidence we have is a muddy camera footage of a near-instantaneous takedown of a child who had no chance to do anything but die. All in the hands of a man who had no business wearing a badge, let alone a gun.

Grand Juries will fucking indict a ham sandwich. But you know, as long as a police officer says their life and in danger its okay to shoot to kill. It is beyond fucking infuriating to me that this won't stand in trial.

If I'm standing watch on a nuclear propulsion plant behind the reactor plant panel. The fastest I have to react to a casualty is 10 seconds to initiate emergency fill in the case of a rupture on the primary system.

This police officer took 2 seconds to discharge a pistol into a kid. Or if he's honest in what he's saying, a young teenager.

The police officer did not assess the situation. He charged in there in his car, got out and shouted "Put the gun down" three times in two seconds before firing.

If you're minding you're own fucking business. You will not put down the gun. You will instead look at whoever is shouting. Your arms will follow your torso. And Tamir Rice was shoot. This isn't reasonable, this isn't anywhere fucking right, and the only place this kind of shit happens is in America. Nowhere fucking else can you expect to call the police for help and for someone to die.

And no one looks twice because the justice system won't bother to fucking to prosecute. You don't have an outside organization to conduct inspections.

Instead we have a system where the standard is something happens and the officer gets sent to a desk job at best. Nevermind that the situation in Chicago is so fucking bad that Rahm Emanuel changed his fucking tune about his own PD after video of the burger king incident finally got uploaded more than a year after the shooting.

This is disgusting. This is absolutely horrifying and this is ruining the reputation of every honest hard working police officer that actually risks their life to end situations that need to be calmed down.

This is reality and the quicker you accept it the quicker we can start working on making sure the fuckers who are more than willing to shoot kids when they arrive on scene get out of the force.

Or better yet lets talk about how your 6th amendment rights can be violated. Everyone loves to talk about how obummer will take away their 2nd amendment rights where many people's 6th amendments are fucking whisked away.

You cannot mmqb split second life or death decisions when it involves a firearm. Child or not in this case Tamir rice had in his possession a weapon and the officer responded as such.
Had it been the other way around we wouldn't know about it and this wouldn't be a discussion.
It shouldn't be one just because he was a kid with a toy.
