anyway, on topic (yawn) I don't have much to say, there's a whole lot of dick-waving and seemingly good cops, the only one I really listen to though is jmcgarrell although Nephilite writes John Hughes movie calibre posts that make me want to believe that some cops care more about their fitness test to get on the force, their piece, and how no one understands them (this is actually a legitimate strain of the job and I can't imagine coming home to a partner and feeling like I can't talk about the fact I saw brain matter spattered on a door today, or something)

Valisk is good peoples (we go way back) but he was clearly trolled by perm and I know what it's like to deliver lackluster replies when you're pissed off

to be honest I'm unconvinced at how military training translates to city cop performance but I like to think it would at least instill the wherewithal in a tense situation to a) dispatch to the right goddamn house, and b) if you did something as stupid as shoot the wrong goddamn dog, have the balls to at least apologize in whatever way you can without threatening your job or making it seem as though the department is admitting liability


and on the abandoned for 5 days thing, that case is all kinds of fishy (see news source) but given that no charges are being laid regardless of how that meth allegedly got in the cell, presumably someone screwed up on the DEA side and I don't see any other way around it unless the whole thing just didn't even happen at all, a la kid in the balloon TV weak-scandal

dimm I have no prob with you and I even pointed out flaws in perm's approach, and to be honest both of you were dick waving so I'm not sure why you appear to be taking this personally

I never claimed to be trolling nor admitting to it or not, so perhaps you're referring to some post before mine because I don't know why you decided to make up a rule about trolling as if (honestly no offense) you could ever hold a candle to perm's trolling flame

as for stupid GD, yeah mostly -- someone is stupid to me when they are stupid until they prove to me they are usually otherwise and are doing something for effect (I've disliked bands on first exposure and then later learned to appreciate wtf they were doing, because I didn't understand the significance fo it or where they were coming from/responding to or what the skill or irony involved entailed)

most of spam I find pretty amusing, but I also know when they are being funny, when they are being serious, and when they are just plain wrong (many times I am wrong too, true story)
