Threat was taken out without killing more innocent individuals. There was 0% chance of this guy giving up willingly and peacefully.

I live in a small town without a single non-white cop. Every time I see a cop I hear a little voice in the back of my head say "that cop is gonna shoot you, get the fuck outta here." Now I see a livestreamed execution and I'm not at all surprised that cops are being gunned down in the street. I may not leave the house tomorrow.

This is how I feel sadly. How many "executions" have we seen in the past 6mo now on cell phone videos where the cop gets off scot-free? I'm not advocating this kind of response at all, but I'm very very far from surprised. And it will continue to happen as more and more people are killed on the spot by police for no fucking reason.

Yeah from the way it was described it was absolutely the best way to handle the situation. Guy was dealt with in a way that put no one in danger.

If the suspect was setup in a way there was only one entrance/exit, then it would be way to dangerous to try and use a approach like that.
