I've been pulled over about 5 times or so in my life myself. Gun drawn once. Back then I was just another lil shit but these days I'd make sure I wouldn't do a fucking thing to piss these dudes off. Always "Yes officer" off the top to any question; any time dudes pull me over I'm already putting my hands on the wheel so they can see and all that.
Shit sucks, but you have to realize your place as a black man sometimes. Like realize there is a genuine fear these cops have for large & tall black men and act accordingly to save your own life.
There's a "These lives mattered" event in my city tonight.
I'll go check it out and see if anything worth recording happens
Pls don't die CS.
I'm on extra credit at this point anyways, so I'm indifferent to my time of death.
Shoulda been gone after the first time I got hit by a car(lol gash in my head was deep enough for ppl there to see my skull), yet alone the following five.
I've been driving for about 15 years or so and I've never been pulled over. My little brother on the other hand seems to get pulled over once a month (lights out, speeding, inspection, you name it) and one of those times he was only going like five over the limit, but he ends up with like six patrol cars pulling up on him. The officer asks him what he's doing and my bro says,"Trying not to shit my pants."
I'm brown and I'm nearing 40 times being pulled over. I have received exactly 1 ticket, for going 11 miles over the posted speed limit. 35+ have been since 9/11 and I look vaguely middle easternish, even though I'm a Pacific Islander. Having a beard doesn't help, but f shaving. Have had to exit my vehicle 15+ times. Gun drawn 6 or 7 times. I love Oregon but it is super white.
Shit, I've been pulled over twice in my lifetime, once for speeding (I was) and once for making an illegal U-turn (I did). Only got the ticket for speeding and a warning for the U-Turn. This is a great example of white privilege. I'm starting to understand why black people invest in tinted windows more than whites do.
I had no idea people could get pulled over so many times. I've probably had 3 "bad" run ins in TOTAL with the police and that includes the two times I was pulled over. First one was turning on a red light (warning) and the second was a 5mph over the speed limit (yeah...) pull over, which I also got off with a warning. Asian privilege, yo.
I got pulled over for running a red light and I just paid the fine but I am pretty sure it was green when I started on through. #whitepeopleproblems
4 times, myself. 2 for speeding, though nothing serious. Once for a rolling stop post-work in a dead intersection. Last for a headlight going out. Last 2 just got a warning.
I have 36 speeding tickets, Idk how many total times I've been pulled or how many total violations. Actually had a 38 in a 35 written while I got a verbal warning for 102 in a 55.
Had the k-9 unit called twice because I wouldn't consent to a search. Yoinked from the car and cuffed twice (all charges dropped and actually got an apology for one). About a dozen times had 3+ police/troopers show up for back up.
Now, the fact that I used to street race may or may not have something to do with it. I can't imagine how many of these scenarios would have turned out of I was black. I have a very mixed ancestry and get extremely dark in the summer, so I've had several cops start by asking if I spoke English. Always been tempted to just give them a blank stare to see what happens, but I don't want to die.
36 speeding tickets, the fuck is wrong with you
More importantly, how do you still have your license.![]()
It was suspended 3 times. 30 days > 6 months > 1 year. I'd also like to note I've never caused an accident.
A huge chunk of those tickets were like 10-15 over, but I've always had "loud," cars for toys. Like the 38 in a 35 I was in a bright red fox body mustang with a boss 302 and straight pipes. I was also quite the dick to the cop because, seriously, 3 over can kiss my ass.
Dayum son! I think the most I've been pulled over is probably 5-6 times.
Yo what the fuck with you folks lol. Been pulled over twice, once was because I stopped short and screeched my brakes to avoid hitting a parked utility vehicle, ended up in the crosswalk. Got out of that ticket by asking for a supporting deposition (never received it) judge dismissed it in the name of justice. Always ask for your deposition, kids! Other time was for a busted tail light. Got it fixed same day, got out of that one too. Never been drawn on, told to get out of the car, or anything else.
I mean I'm white, but yall fuckers are getting pulled over constantly
