No, it's you telling black people to check their lack of privilege.

I'd hate to beat a dead horse but this is 100% nothing new. Bum comes into a topic blasting out ad-homs and barely decipherable tirades (not because the ideas are crazy but because they're laced with so many backhanded insults that it's difficult to derive the content) then calms down about 10 minutes later, turns around, and complains about derails. It's really not worth arguing about.
On topic, absolutely nobody at any point in the past few pages has actually explained "why" large scale disruption is an effective persuasive technique in the 21st century. All we've had so far is "King did it" and "Our solidarity is more important than your livelihood." The former is irrelevant because 1) Information spreads significantly more easily today than it did in the 60's making awareness much easier to raise and 2) Dr. King had different goals which required different solutions than BLM et al. The latter is garbage.
Large scale disruption is a vitally important/effective tactic for protestors interested in not getting shot by cops: Why?
This is amazing. The only thing more fitting than Bum being white, is Bum trying to check the privilege of BGs resident black man who made something of himself. You cant write TV this good.
Did we already talk about how blm has to woo the support, not just indifference, of people? They might not campaign against you, but if only 40% of them are showing up to vote for a President, what makes you think they'll show up for the local elections you need them for?

Xno is resident Dominican man not resident black man (though there are a few black Dominicans.......)
you suckas really don't pay attention do you
I'm too busy whitesplaining things.
what's that
hah
To GG: In today's world of fast-moving media and a public with an increasingly short attention span, there are two way to accomplish political action. One, years - decades - of carefully crafted policy, often enacted in several variant forms at state and local levels before it ever becomes viable in Congress, requiring inertia across multiple office holders and a lot of political capital. Two, have the public make a big noise about it so the media picks it up and doesn't let it go, force Congress to vote so they don't seem out-of-touch or uncaring about this enormous issue.
Also three: Start with two, and when it fails, salvage whatever connections were formed to start doing one.
BLM seams quite impotent but pretty good if you want to larp and feel part of 'something' I guess.
What cracks me up is that the things they are accomplishing, like getting more departments to require body cams, are the things that Bum is criticising.
Honestly, this is probably the most offended I've ever been on BG lol. Congratulations bum. You genuinely rustled my jimmies.
Not me. Just saying lol. Probably a shade or two darker.
Santo Domingo by the way bitches!
Not all Dominicans are white lol
More like not all Dominicans are brown. My cousin gets confused for Haitian all the time. Xno had it rough, but not hispanic-that-looks-black bad. I was gonna say Bum would know, but lololol.

Can you really consider yourself Hispanic if you didn't grow up with this?
I think I'm gonna marathon Marimar episodes the next day or two. Make sure I'm not checking any lack of privilege.
