What should be done is have legitimate A&B on a public service employee charges actually stick in court. (Legitimate as in a severe injury was caused, not bumps and bruises). I've been in law enforcement for 9 years, and I've never once seen a charge for assaulting a officer actually stick to a person. Even after I was personally assaulted with a bat and suffered a torn ACL.
